Jonas and Kylee met in March of 2022, through a mutual friend, Kenzie, at PFYC. Although not many words were exchanged that night, they both made a deep impression on each other. Jonas had made such an impact on Kylee, she told her best friend, now Maid of Honor, later that night how attractive she found him, even though she really did not know him at the time. Kylee also made such a big impact on Jonas, he had told his mom that same weekend, that “out of all the girls at PFYC, there was only one pretty girl at the whole event” not letting her know that it was Kylee he was speaking about. Jonas’s mom Holly, relayed his words to Kylee and her MOH, Kenzie, at lunch that next Sunday after church. As young girls do, they joked and speculated about who they thought it could be, never realizing that it could be Kylee. After hanging out a few times as a group, the two definitely noticed a spark being there, but it was not the right time.. Fast forward to August 2023, the pair rekindled their friendship and soon realized those feelings never left. After a few months of crumble cookie trips and El Toro Sundays; on Christmas Eve, he made things official. A few months later, in May of 2024, on the day Jonas graduated college, Jonas shocked Kylee by asking her to be his wife. His declaration of love and commitment wasn’t the shock, when you know you know after all! She wasn’t expecting to be proposed to on the day that was supposed to be all about his future. In the words of one of his groomsmen, Jared, “he took a day that was supposed to be all about him, and he made it about them and their future”. The day was such a beautiful, loving sentiment. Jonas and Kylee are going to tie the knot before God, friends, and family on September 21, 2024. Their story is such a true testament of how what’s meant to be will always find its way to you in the end, no matter what tries to put itself in the way! - written by Mackenzie Alexander, Maid of Honor
