Denver International Airport

If you fly into DIA, you will need to rent a car, hire an airport shuttle or take a bus. While the drive is about 2 hours and 30 minutes, the beautiful scenery makes up for the time spent on the road.

Eagle County Regional Airport (Eagle-Vail)

This is a great option if your departure airport offers flights. The airport is an easy 30-40 minute drive from the Sonnenalp Hotel. You can hire a shuttle, taxi or rent a car. Some hotels offer pickup services.

Shuttle Service from Airport

If you need a shuttle service from either airport, we recommend taking Epic Mountain Express. Once you are in Vail, there is a free in-town bus that can get you around town easily. Uber, Lyft and RideTaxi are available but can be VERY sparse in the mountains.

Bus from Union Station Denver

If you are coming from downtown Denver, you can take a bus from Denver's Union Station to the Vail Transportation Center. The A Train, from the airport, takes you right into Union Station. Click here for a bus schedule.
