Spencer and I lived in the same neighborhood and began to form an unlikely friendship the summer of 2016. We would cruise around for hours just talking and having good conversations. I attended Savannah’s 4th birthday party that December with Spencer and I would say it was around that time it became more evident to both of us that our relationship was evolving beyond what it had been. It wasn’t until May 2017 I officially announced Spencer as my boyfriend to my Aunt Paula at my graduation party. The following August I joined in on the annual trip to the family cabin in Minnesota and fell in love all over again, this time with a place & not a person. November 2017, we moved out of our parents into our first house together. That December we received the best Christmas gift, a puppy of our choice. January 2018, we welcomed our dog, Willa, into our lives. October of 2019 brought about our first move. We were grateful for the opportunity to move into Spencer’s Grannies house. We’ve been here ever since and now are officially homeowners! We have grown so much as individuals and as a couple! It’s amazing reflecting back as time has passed to the people we were and who we have become with the love and support of each other and our loved ones. We have made so many memories along the way and found such a sense of belonging not only together, but with each other’s family. Now, it’s finally time to make it official!

After, a failed attempt of trying to talk me into going to look at the plaza lights after Thanksgiving dinner - Spencer’s original proposal plan - Two days later in the comfort of our home while decorating the Christmas tree together Spencer asked me to marry him. I of course said “Yes”. It was decided on that day we would forever put up and decorate our Christmas tree together on November 28th. I couldn’t have asked for a better proposal in the privacy of our home with the two of us and only our dog, Willa as our audience. We can’t wait to finally be married to each other!
