Our Story

De-Graft and Jessica met in Akuafo Hall at the University of Ghana, Legon campus in 2017. They were both in their second year of undergraduate studies and Jessica was a foreign exchange student from the United States. They connected instantly! After Jessica returned to her home country, they remained friends. They would check-in often, support each other, and continued to strengthen their bond over the years. After 7 years of nurturing a friendship, they decided to follow their hearts and commit to their "Happily Ever After". De-Graft and Jessica later married on April 9th, 2024. They look forward to celebrating their union with friends and family in December.

Wedding Party

Jamie Hoskins

Maid of Honor

The maid of Honor is Jessica's eldest sister. Jamie and Jessica made a pact from a young age that they would be each other's maid of honor when they marry. Jessica has stayed true to her promise and they get to share this special day together.

Ebenezer Esilfie (Teddy)

Best Man

Teddy is De-Graft's "brother from another mother". De-Graft and Teddy have been friends since childhood and attended the University of Ghana, Legon Campus together. They have been beside each other through the highs and lows in life and have watched each other grow into the men they are today. It is only right that De-Graft will celebrate this union with his "right-hand man" beside him.

FAQs

Question

Why are wedding rings worn on the fourth finger on the left hand?

Answer

Engagement and wedding rings are worn on the fourth finger of the left hand because it was once thought that a vein in that finger led directly to the heart. Reference: https://www.enzoani.com/en/insider/20-interesting-wedding-facts
