The Proposal
It was a late-December night; We hadn't celebrated the holiday yet and we were setting up our Christmas tree to the sound of Home Alone 2 playing in the background. Unknown to Jen, I had a custom ring made and hid the box in the bottom of the tote of ornaments and lights. As we grabbed the last few decorations, I pulled the ring box from the tote, got down on one knee, and asked Jen to be my wife. After she said yes the rest of the night was filled with phonecalls to loved ones to relay the good news. This proposal was the only thing in my life I never had to second guess.
