Where are you registered?

We haven’t generated a specific item registry because after 8 years together, we have all the things we need for our home. Cash gifts are welcome if you'd like to contribute to our honeymoon. But your presence on the day is what's most important to us. If you feel inclined and find a gift that reminds you of us or you find an item you think we could use, we would graciously and humbly accept. *Again, Your presence, not presents is what is most important to us.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Daily high temperatures decrease by 4°F, from 87°F to 83°F, rarely falling below 79°F or exceeding 90°F. Daily low temperatures decrease by 5°F, from 77°F to 72°F, rarely falling below 66°F or exceeding 80°F. 90% of the yacht is covered and will shield us in the event of inclement weather. Atlantic Hurricane season ends on November 30th 2023. The charter company has a fluid hurricane plan in place in the event there is a named storm and we find ourselves in the cone. Ultimately the captain will make the call about what will happen in that scenario.

What should I wear?

Answer

We are requesting you wear casual wedding attire to the ceremony. We want you to feel your best and be comfortable for 6 hours. You should wear whatever you would like to photographed in Hi-resolution throughout the night. *In addition, if you choose to wear high heels, remember water can splash onto exposed outdoor surfaces. Consider bringing a backup pair of shoes with you for comfort and safety to walk around the yacht.* There is a room on the lower deck to store items like jackets & purses. (Backup pair of shoes)

What about parking?

We are still trying to determine the best advice as to where to park that evening. The owner of the Midnight Sun told us our guests can valet at the Marriott. There is also a parking lot at Trinity Cathedral with a sign that says park for $15 all day. Our preference is that if you’re drinking that you ride share or make arrangements to have drop off & pick up plan in place.

What time do we need to be there?

Please plan to meet at hotel bar no later 4:45 PM in the Marriott. The crew will come & get us to board when they are ready for us. More updates with details will follow.

We are not assigning a side to either groom. We want you to find a seat where you can see the best.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony/post on social media?

Answer

Yes!! We encourage you to take as many photos or video you find special or want to capture throughout the evening. We don’t want to impose any restrictions you post on your social media accounts. We hired a photographer to capture photos of the evening. There will be a website available to all of us with lo-res images with no watermark available in about 3 weeks after the wedding. We humbly request that you help us celebrate this occasion to help us make the memories we will cherish for a lifetime.

What happens between the ceremony and reception?

The crew will begin to work to open up the second deck right after the ceremony. They will take the chairs we use for the ceremony downstairs at that time. Once the Odelin & Jeff complete the ceremony, they will walk past you towards the bar. The grooms will walk back towards the alter and go out the sliding glass doors where you will join us. You’ll be able to get a drink at the bar. We will take some pictures at that time. You should expect to remain on the second deck while the crew sets up the dining room.

What food will be served and what if I have dietary restrictions?

We will have 2 selections of protein, 1 vegetable, & 1 starch. It’ll be buffet style in the way you select your meal. The crew will add your selections deliver your plate to you at your seat. If you have any dietary related questions please send a text message to 1 or both grooms.

Is it an open or cash bar?

We have decided to select open bar as the plan. It’s includes beer, wine, soda, water, in addition to a variety of spirits. The drink menu will be available to view on the bar top that evening. The crew will accept additional cash gratuity for their service although it’s not required.

Where does this charter go in Biscayne Bay?

Answer

The yacht will leave the Marina; raise the south drawbridge at the Venetian Causeway. There are common points where the captain will stop and give us 360° views. There is no specific course plan we will follow because it’s undetermined how much traffic will be out on the water with us. We will travel as far south as Downtown and see the causeways lit up and the Miami Skyline.

What happens if I need to leave earlier than 11:00 PM?

In the event you have an unexpected emergency; We will ask the crew to return to the port to allow you to disembark as quickly as possible.

What if I get Seasick?

Answer

During most bay or harbor cruises, seasickness is not a problem due to the calm waters. We will have pressure point wrist bands available to you to provide upon request. If you know you’re prone to be seasick we recommend Dramamine prior to boarding. We will have some with us that day just in case.

Life Jackets

Answer

Fingers crossed… we won’t have to worry about an issue that would require a need to use a life jacket while on board the Midnight Sun. However, there are enough life jackets supplied and available on board for all the guests and crew. We will be told their closest location while on board for quick access in that scenario.

Well… neither have we!! It’s the 1st for many of us. We expect you’ll see many similar traditions at our wedding that you have seen at every other wedding you’ve attended. We planned the evening to be memorable and a reflection of us. We can’t wait to celebrate our love and commitment to each other with each and every one of you.
