Almost immediately after matching on the dating app hinge, Jason asked Kelci to tell him about her time on The Price is Right game show over drinks at J. Alexander’s Restaurant in Nashville. After not hearing from Jason all week, Kelci was hesitant to go on their date and was fashionably late to the restaurant. Jason patiently waited for Kelci with a few cocktails and when she did arrive he quickly realized the wait was worth it and after three hours of laughter, great conversation, and a sweet kiss goodnight; they both realized neither of them wanted their date to end.

Kelci and Jason ventured to the Big Island of Hawaii for a two-week trip of a lifetime (all thanks to our good friend, David). Jason had the ring hidden in our home for five months while waiting for the perfect moment to propose. He had made several different plans for the proposal just in case he couldn’t get the ring out of his bag without Kelci noticing. The morning of the 13th, Jason and Kelci hiked one of only four green sand beaches in the entire world and then made their way to the southern most point of the United States, where they stood on lava rocks at the edge of the ocean, Kelci was taking pictures of the beautiful view and was oblivious as Jason got down on one knee. When Kelci turned around to talk to Jason she was completely surprised to see him on one knee and asking her to become his wife. Kelci threw her arms around Jason and said yes of course! The two kissed while standing on the edge of the world to celebrate their love and engagement.
