This is the closest Airport that services the area. Once you arrive it will be a 20 minute taxi trip to Zihuatanejo! The town is small and quaint, taking up the small bay it resides in. Any lodging you choose will be within walking distance or a short taxi to the venue and beach!

Considered one of the most beautiful holiday centers in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo. Located in Zihuatanejo Bay, in the State of Guerrero, Mexico, 3 hours from Acapulco. Hotel Villa Mexicana is a wonderfully built complex with traditional Mexican decoration, and has a wide range of facilities for its visitors. Museo Arqueológico de la Costa Grande
In the center of the town of Zihuatanejo, on the Paseo del Pescador and Plaza Olof Palme, a simple one-level building was built in 1947, based on stone columns and sloping roofs covered with tile. It has six exhibition rooms that show pieces from different archaeological zones in the region, testimony of the evolution of the people settled in the entity.Ceramics, clay figurines, obscure instruments and weapons with a marked influence from the Olmec, Teotihuacan, Mexica and Tarascan cultures stand here, as do the main historical events that occurred on the Costa Grande, which extends from the port of Acapulco to the mouth of the Balsas River.

Dive Zihua is located at the heart of downtown Zihuatanejo, on the Pacific coast of Mexico. We are an experienced PADI Dive Resort with an atmosphere you would expect to find in a small dive operation. We offer both diving and snorkeling tours through our full service dive facility. Learn to dive or continue your education with our PADI courses. In season, from December to March, we offer you the best seats on our whale watching tours. Here you can experience coral reefs, pelagic dives, rock structures with some swim-throughs. There is an array of biodiversity in Zihuatanejo-Ixtapa such as eagle rays, octopus, sea horses, moray eels, sea turtles, bioluminescence, nudibranchs, stingrays, dolphins and more. Located on Calle Pedro Ascencio #7 one block away from the beach. Enter downtown from the Cancha municipal (basketball court) and take a right at the statue, we are just a little past Zorro’s bar. Ixtapa Baby Turtle Release in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo
It is an incredible opportunity to witness this miraculous natural process. During the night, turtles come to the beach and lay eggs. To protect these eggs, a qualified team takes them and places them in a turtle sanctuary to protect them from predators. After a briefing you will be given a freshly hatched baby turtle that you will release on the beach. Cheer them all on as they run to sea! As this is based on hatchlings, the location of the tour may change on the day.

El Refugio de Potosi
Established in 2008, El Refugio de Potosí is a private, not for profit, 7-hectare ecological park located in the coastal tropical dry forest in the region of Barra de Potosí, Playa Blanca, Guerrero, Mexico. Located one mile from Barra de Potosí in Playa Blanca, and 15 miles from the tourist zones of Ixtapa & Zihuatanejo, off the Acapulco-Zihuatanejo Highway. We are situated equal distance between the cities of Zihuatanejo and Petatlán. El Refugio initially opened to the public in August 2009. Today we offer our visitors an array of garden paths, botanical displays, an iguana habitat, macaw roosts, a 60-foot sperm whale skeleton, hummingbird feeding stations, a wild life pond, native wild birds, and an 18-meter high observation tower.
