Love at Second Swipe
Our love story is brought to you by Tinder and tenacity. In 2019, Jackie spent a few months in Tucson, and ended up updating her Tinder. Kristen was living in Tucson at the time, and stumbled upon Jackie's profile. She looked Jackie up on Instagram and was intrigued by her journey, so she swiped right. Jackie on the other hand, forgot about the app and moved back to New York, temporarily. Fast forward to the end of 2020 and Jackie and Kristen are both now living in the Phoenix area. Jackie gets back on Tinder, and this time, she also swipes right. There are some back and forth messages and then Jackie drops off again. Kristen isn't giving up and sends another few messages, even inviting Jackie out for New Years Eve. Jackie eventually opens her messages again....but not until the end of January 2021. Lucky for Jackie, Kristen wasn't too ruffled by the lack of response and plans were made to watch the Super Bowl together 2/7/2021. Jackie and Kristen have been inseparable ever since.

Come on over for a pool hang, drinks and possibly a talent show, sign up list to follow. We anticipate a cook-out of sorts that will feed not only your bellies but your souls. Full moon bonfire plus beach games after dinner.

Attire: Beachy, flowy, casual. We love bright colors, Hawaiian shirts are welcome, linen pants or khaki shorts, sundresses, etc.
Start time is subject to slight adjustments: We will have finger foods and drinks available prior to the ceremony, with full hibachi meal to follow.
Hibachi at the Porches
7:15 pm - 8:15 pm

Same as wedding attire
Each person will receive a side salad, hibachi vegetables, fried rice and two protein choices. When you RSVP please choose TWO proteins: chicken, steak, shrimp, salmon, scallops, filet mignon, lobster tail, or tofu with extra vegetables. There will also be a selection to add noodles to your dinner, if noodles bring you joy!

We have two houses booked in the Royal Sands neighborhood (The Porches and Paradise) and the ceremony is on this stretch of beach. All rentals come with a golf cart which makes going back and forth between locations a breeze!

Hampton Inn & Suites Port Aransas
There are many hotel options to choose from, this one is close by and reasonably priced. We do not have rooms blocked off.

Day of the ceremony we would love extra help with beach and chairs set-up, reception dinner transition, and dishes throughout the stay! Both houses have at least one if not two dishwashers, thank you in advance!

Is there transportation to/from the airport?

Please let us know your arrival and departure times and we will do our best to match you with someone who is driving or renting a car. Otherwise, we can coordinate group shuttling via taxi or rideshare service.
