Travel Note

Traveling to Oakdale

Oakdale is located on the south shore of Long Island, just 50 miles outside of New York City, and accessible via Long Island Railroad or a short car ride from JFK & LaGuardia airports. If traveling from NYC, take the Long Island Rail Road from Grand Central or Penn Station to the Ronkonkoma stop. The venue is a 10 minute Uber from the station. If flying from out of state, Long Island has two major airports - we recommend JFK but LaGaurdia is nearby as well. Both have ride share pick-up and car rental options available. For the night of the wedding, complimentary valet parking will be available at the venue. Ubers and Lyfts are easily accessible and are a 10-20 minute drive from your hotel of choice. For additional hotel options, we've listed a few other highly rated nearby hotels below. Please note, we do not have a block reserved at these hotels.

What is Black-Tie Preferred attire?

Answer

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors followed by cocktail hour freely flowing throughout the mansion and patio (ladies, no need to worry about heels in the grass). The reception will be held indoors in the ballroom. Should it rain, the wedding will be moved entirely inside the mansion.

Where do I park at Bourne Mansion? Will there be a shuttle?

Answer

The venue will have complementary valet parking. Since our guests will be coming from many different locations, we will not have a shuttle service. If you are not driving, Ubers and Lyfts are readily available and can drop off/pick up inside the gate of the mansion. What type of food will be served? Do I get a meal choice? And what if I have a food allergy/restriction?

Answer

A waiter will take your order when the party is sat down for dinner. We’ve curated a menu with lots of delicious options! Bourne is known for their Italian fare. As far as dietary needs, we will have vegan options but please reach out to us directly if you have any other specific concerns.

Due to venue capacity, unless otherwise noted on your invite we need to stick to the people named on your invite.

Answer

We kindly ask that you keep phones, cameras, and other devices tucked away during the ceremony. We have a wonderful photography and content team to capture every moment and we will be sure to share once available.

We understand you might not be staying for an extended time. Unfortunately the hotel only offers blocks for a two night stay, but you are welcome to book outside the block or with the other hotel suggestions listed in the travel section.
