Prairie du Chien, WI

Tampa, a new life

Jacinta moved to Tampa in the fall of 2021 looking for a good Catholic community, a Montessori teaching job and a fresh start! Matt moved to Tampa in the fall of 2022 after serving 5 1/2 years in the Navy to start his next chapter in aviation mechanics.

How we met

Jacinta and Matt crossed paths a few times at different church events but it wasn’t until Matt joined the volleyball group (and shaved his beard) that he caught Jacinta’s eye. Immediately she realized what an athlete he was. As for Matt, Jacinta was always number one on his list. Matt and Jacinta played volleyball for a few weeks while getting to know each other in bigger group settings as well as other church events. Soon the bigger groups turned into just the two of them playing volleyball doubles in St. Petersburg(2v2)

The rest is history

It didn’t take long for Matt and Jacinta to realize they were made for each other, from their mutual love of God to all the little pranks and inside jokes. After a month of dating they were already talking about marriage, proving the saying to be true “when you know, you know”

Ever after

Matt and Jacinta feel truly blessed to have such support from family and friends. They can’t wait to start their new life together and are anxiously awaiting to celebrate with everyone!

FAQs

Question

How far away is everything?

Answer

From hotel to ceremony is about a 35 minute drive in beautiful farm country!

Question

What can I do in between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

Visit historic downtown and St. feriole island to take in some beautiful views of the Mighty Mississippi and visit the Villa Louis.

Question

Extraordinary Form? What does that mean?

Answer

The Extraordinary Form of the Mass is celebrated in Latin, the official language of the church. This is how Mass was celebrated for hundreds of years up until Vatican ll in the 60s. Don’t worry! There will be programs available and little red books to follow along. If ever in doubt, look around and do as others do :)
