Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, we’ve decided to be married in a private, family ceremony on September 1, 2020 in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. We are so excited to be husband and wife and are gearing up for the best party ever at our Wedding Celebration at The Tidewater in 2021 when we can safely be with all our loved ones together.
Don't all great love stories begin in the Interview Room?! (...Kaitlyn's HR expertise says "No!") Kaitlyn interviewed Eric for his very first internship in March 2014, and he got the job. After moving on to other real estate endeavors, the networker in Eric didn't stop attending events and parties with his former coworkers, which kept bringing him back to Kaitlyn. When he took her by the broken hand at a party in November 2015, she was smitten. On their second date, they happened to run into Eric's family in Eldersburg, resulting in Eric's Dad, Mark, paying for their date and Eric's Grandpa Frank tricking Kaitlyn into believing he was a horse trainer and singing that her boots with the fur were made for walking. That New Year's Eve, on Kaitlyn's very cold rooftop deck, under the fireworks, she proclaimed "Eric, you're my boyfriend now." From there, the two became pretty inseparable. On the Oriole's Opening Day 2016, Eric surprised Kaitlyn with tickets to the game and Kaitlyn surprised Eric with an "I love you" on a special bench along the promenade. The two have been seeking adventure ever since, and Eric has thrown Kaitlyn off of enough four-wheelers and jet-skis to test their unbreakable bond. Eric has learned what Kivis are made of (mostly love and cheese) and Kaitlyn's parents, Karen and Dave, were delighted to extend their blessing over his proposal in March 2019 over a beautiful Key West sunset. Over the past four years, both have been so fortunate to be welcomed into each others families and grow in love with one another. They have been blessed, a lot, forever.
