We had both attended Langham Creek High School. During Avery's junior year and my sophomore year, we were enrolled in Principles of Health Science as our elective course. The first day of classes, I saw Avery walk in and he immediately caught my attention. A couple days into the class, he had decided to sit behind me during class. He was very outgoing and super talkative, and I was very quiet and shy at first. A couple days in, our teacher told us to make a paper airplane as one of our assignments. I worked up the courage to ask him for help with my paper airplane. We spent the next year getting to know each other in the "friend zone". On September 21, 2011, Avery asked me to be his girlfriend at the end of the day near my locker and we have been inseparable ever since!
We first met in health class. I had to pick a chair in the room to sit in and luckily enough the chair behind Hunter was open. We started with small talk with me asking for a pencil. We started talking more and more each day. One day, our teacher had a paper airplane competition in our class. I ended up winning and had to show the class how to make my airplane. Hunter needed some extra help with the airplane. I was able to teach her how and the rest is history!
