Our Love Story

When asked how Alexander and I met, my response is always "In college," but Alexander loves to remind me that “I turned him down” a couple of years before that at a gas station in the small town of Alpine, Texas. He tried to woo me by asking for my snap chat. How romantic, I know. Nothing really came of this exchange, BUT I did give him my snap chat because he was cute. What can I say? He will tell you, he knew then that we would fall in love. Fast forward to fall of 2018: We discovered we were in the same classes as we began our Education Program. Now this is where I knew there could definitely be something between us. I guess God knew it wasn't our time just yet, despite little sparks here and there. Over one year later, our paths crossed again as we bumped into each other at…a gas station! He had already moved away from the small town to complete his internship in El Paso. We got to talking and ended up having one of those movie-like nights, where we talked into the morning. We shared our pasts, goals, fears, cherished memories, and I knew in that moment that he could be the one. Since then, we have grown as individuals and as a couple. We have built a life that we truly love and are always pushing each other to be better. I am so eager for this next chapter, where we will continue to stay true to one another and by the grace of God spend a long and happy life together!

Wedding Party

Meet our family and friends who will be alongside us on this special day.

Lauryn

Maid of Honor

Lauryn was my first ever best friend before the age of 2. My earliest memories of Lauryn consist of dressing up, letting her do my makeup, playing school, going on all kinds of adventures, putting on elaborate performances and cooking "gourmet" meals for our families. Over the years she became my other half, my rock, and the one I could count on for any and everything. We are still in such awe that our dreams have come true with me being a teacher, and her as a successful makeup artist thriving in her business. She stays busy in the service industry helping others achieve their goals in beauty, bartending, and is always willing to help those she loves. I couldn't imagine anyone else having such a pivotal role in this special time of our lives.

Anyssa

Bridesmaid

My big sister has always been one of my biggest role models. Our bond is something I am forever grateful for! From a young age she instilled so many important values and lessons that I would carry with me into our teenage and adult lives. Anytime we are together, we are an absolute mess in the BEST way. She cracks me up, to the point where I can't even look at her or I will die laughing. (this used to get us in so much trouble, especially at church...sorry Dad!) Many of my favorite memories are shared with her! She was the one to first make me a Tia, the best role I have had thus far.

Adrien

Bridesmaid

Adrien is a force to be reckoned with. She is my little sister, but she outgrew me long ago! Despite our age difference, Adrien has taught me so much throughout our lives. From a young age she has always been so sure of herself and taught me that we can't worry about what others think. Her confident and fierce demeanor has always inspired me. When I think of her, strength is what comes to mind. If it weren't for her, I have no idea where I would be today. She was the one that just did life with me, and I am so thankful God put her in my life. We are sisters by chance, friends by choice. <3 She is now a mommy, and I know she will do great things. Her and Ace have such a special place in my heart.

Kaela

Bridesmaid

Kaela is a very special person and happens to be Koda's Pup Madrina, (Godmother.) Kaela and I met as athletic trainers in high school and declared our friendship on September 1, 2014. She is the epitome of a true friend. She has stuck by me through all the crazy with her unwavering love and loyalty. She is someone I can be my authentic self with and can count on to have a good laugh, cry, vent sesh, or jam out with our cruise playlist! Her thoughtfulness and ability to remember all the small (and huge) things always remind me of how lucky I am to call her my friend.

Hal

Best Man

Hal and Alexander met in college playing football together at Sul Ross. There they would spend the next four years building a lifelong friendship. After they graduated, they both continued their love for football through coaching. They each try go to each other's games when possible, and only live about 30 minutes away, so they get to kick it often. I love their friendship, and consider Hal family.

Michael

Groomsman

Micheal and Alexander first met when they were in 10th grade. They attended different high schools until Micheal along with with others finally convinced Alex to switch to Fulton high school for his junior and senior year. Alexander and Michael spent many weekends playing madden and hanging out. Fast forward, and they still play video games and keep constant contact.

Rodney

Groomsman

Alexander and Rodney first met when Rodney asked Alex for a ride home from football one summer morning. Little did Alex know, it was a 25 minute drive out into the country….. This would be the staple of their friendship. Kind of like the time Rodney made Alexander get out of his car because Alex brought an unfinished bowl cereal into it. Alex considers Rodney one his closest friends, and they still talk often (usually about different sports teams and MMA fights).

Teddy

Groomsman

Teddy is Alexander's brother and one of his closest confidants. Their relationship has grown over the last decade. They both keep in touch with weekly phone conversations lasting for hours at times. They share several interests most which Alexander picked up from his older brother, Teddy. Any time they are together they are CONSTANTLY "trash talking" or "talking smack" about one another. I assume this is just "Brotherly love."

Gallery

We felt the need to reenact out proposal for this picture. ;)
Look at that rock, y'all!
Lucky I'm in love with my best friend.
A thousand miles seems pretty far, but they've got planes and trains and cars. I'd walk to you if I had no other way.

Registry

We are blessed beyond measure to have people in our lives who love us unconditionally, and have poured so much into us, and this dream of a day. Alexander and I have been extremely fortunate to have accumulated many household items and necessities over the past couple of years. With that being said, our main goal at this point in our lives is to fulfill our aspirations to travel this beautiful world and all it has to offer. If you feel inclined to contribute to our registry, in which we have the option to add cash funds, gift cards, or fun experiences, we truly appreciate your generosity! All our love. -Alex & Abi | Psalm 121:7-8
