Tyler and Alex first met in 2014 in Santa Barbara, CA while working on campaigns supported by the local Democratic Party. Their eyes first locked when Alex walked into the campaign office tears streaming down her face after getting bitten by a dog on Primary Day. Needless to say, it was very romantic. Over the course of the next several months, their friendship grew as they went through the chaos of campaign season. The camaraderie and support of campaigns helped to create a strong friend group and is what forged the basis of Tyler and Alex’s relationship. Eventually, life took each of them in different directions and they went their own ways, but this is what they both believed helped to lead them back to each other a few years later. Alex came back to Santa Barbara in 2018 and casually asked Tyler and a friend to a Young Dems meeting where he saw his opportunity to renew their friendship and development a partnership. He’s been very persistent ever since.
