In the sacred halls of our medical school, destiny crafted an enduring love story. On a sunny day, our paths converged, unknowingly setting the course of my life, a journey marked by growth and gratitude 😂😂😏🤔🤔. Rushing into the classroom with a barely buttoned shirt, I saw a petite lady (Gbemi) in a lemon shirt caught my eye, even while napping, exuding unique charm 😂😂. Our paths continued to intersect, but it was a fateful anatomy lab that truly united us. We dissected a cadaver, and our effortless conversation was a sure sign for any guy 😂. She, though not uproariously funny but her intelligence, and compassion sparked my interest. Our friendship blossomed, playfully venturing into the "sister zone" – a tactic I can't confirm or deny 😂. We consistently found ourselves in the same postings, though distractions sometimes clouded my judgment 😂🤔. Amidst the challenges of medical school, our bond offered solace. As years passed, our inseparable friendship developed, concealed under the illusion of being siblings. Post-graduation, our paths kept aligning which revealed her to be more than a partner but also an unwavering support system. On a cold evening, in the presence of loved ones, I summoned the courage to propose, and with joy in her eyes, she said "yes," sealing our commitment. Our journey wasn't just about acquiring knowledge; it was a testament to our friendship, love, and resilience, and the foundation for a life filled with love and compassion. As we took our oath to become doctors, looking back, I might have left with a degree, but I also secured your love 😂😏. Our love story stands as a testament to fate's power and the beauty of love discovered in unexpected places. Urim (your fave) Urim and I, began as best friends amidst the whirlwind of medical school, and whenever I'm asked to recount it, my heart flutters with excitement as if I’m telling the story for the first time. We started getting close in our second year, both entangled in our separate relationships and situationships, but our connection grew so strong that we affectionately referred to each other as brother and sister, sharing every detail of our lives, even the humorous anecdotes about our romantic escapades( the breakfasts we served people and the ones that people served us😂). In our fifth year, my dear friends, especially Somto, sat me down and had a profound conversation about our undeniable attraction to each other, urging me not to make a foolish choice while I had other potential suitors in the picture who weren’t even comfortable with Urim as my best friend/ brother. The girls he was talking to also couldn't bear my presence as his sister/best friend. Encouraged by my friends, I had a conversation with him where two options seemed visible to us: we either take our relationship further or cease being friends. As fate would have it, my dear husband-to-be chose the former( baba was even feeling me before 😂). Though we faced hurdles along the way, we officially started dating in 2020 while working together in the same hospital during our internship year( the guy was just following me everywhere 😂) . Since then, we've been immersed in the deep waters of love. He proposed three years later, and I gave the ever-changing "yes" of my life. I am certain that our journey of love was predestined by a higher power; we tried to resist, but love had other plans. While the future remains uncertain, if this is what forever feels like, I want to embark on this beautiful ride into eternity with you, holding on until the wheels of time cease to turn. ∞ Gbemi( your cupcake)
