In July 2003, 13-year-old Fabi and 19-year-old U-Chin met on a mission trip to the interior of the state of Mato Grosso. Fabi barely spoke English and U-Chin didn't mix with minors, so interaction was minimal, not to mention zero. Let’s skip a few years: in 2019, dear sister and missionary Cecilia Karber, acquaintance of them both, started to plant the idea on them about getting to know each other. No one was very excited, they lived in different countries, U-Chin wanted to stay single forever, and the pandemic hit. Fast forward again and we're in 2022. Cecilia and Dani, Fabi's older sister, go out for lunch one day and Cecilia once again comments that Uch and Fabi could be a good match. Dani was scheduled to travel to Los Angeles and, sneakily, they hatched a plan for her to meet U-Chin in person and tell him how amazing Fabi is. All said and done: Dani returns from her trip and, one fine day, calls Fabi, explaining that she had met U-Chin, "the guy from 20 years ago", and that he's willing to get to know her if she wants. "What's wrong with that? We're just going to exchange a few text messages..." thought Fabi. And so, the long history of conversation began on Sep 6 as follows: "Hi Fabiana! This is U-Chin! Hope it's not too late at night to text you. I'm not sure how to begin the conversation...Do you remember me from 20 year ago?" From then on, several messages and emails were exchanged, many hours of zooming took place, late-night chats (for Fabi) and international visits happened for them to get to know each other and realize how good God is to bring them together as companions in faith and life! A few months into their relationship, U-Chin could no longer bear the prospect of not having Fabi in his life forever, and decided to propose to her in February 2023, in Ibirapuera Park. Now we're waiting for this happy day to arrive when we'll finally be able to celebrate with you all the end of this long-distance relationship and the beginning of a life together! This is U-Chin! Hope it’s not too late at night to text you. I’m not sure how to begin the conversation…Do you remember me from 20 year ago??”

Church has a big parking lot, but if you arrive late, you can easily park your car on the street.
You can wear whatever you want! But if you don't want to be judged by others, we recommend social clothing - nothing too fancy.
Absolutely YES! After the ceremony we'll want to take pictures with you, our beloved friends! Don't go missing!
