We were taking the same Religion class at Randolph-Macon College (Religion and Science) when we met. Jackson and I were the only two students engaged in active discussion but our busy schedules prevented us from talking very much outside of class, until May 1, 2018. We both had to make up a quiz in our professor's office, but the professor was running late so we found ourselves in the hallway outside of his office at the same time. A conversation started and we instantly knew we wanted to stay in touch. The next day, Jackson joined me for lunch at one of the tables outside the Student Center and within a month we were dating. Both of us were looking for a sign that the next person we dated would be the last. Jackson had waited 6 years for the right woman to come along. I had a list of all the things I knew my future husband would have and prayed to God that He would make it obvious when I found him. The fact that we met in a religion class, both are obsessed with soccer (Go Chelsea!), love reading, are passionate about serving children, agree that family should always come first, and have a foundation in faith solidified for us that we had found the person we were meant to spend the rest of our lives with.
