4:30 pm - 10:00 pm
We are planning to have the ceremony outside, weather permitting, so be prepared to walk in the grass!
After the ceremony, we will have a cocktail hour from 5-6pm, followed by the reception. During the cocktail hour, we will be hosting a book swap for anyone who wants to participate. If you'd like to, please bring a book that you love and want to pass along, and choose one to take home with you! We will have a stamp you can use to mark the inside of the book to commemorate the day. The reception will have a buffet dinner (breakfast food is the theme!), as well as cake and desserts.
Hotel
NOTE: The hotel block is closed. The hotel may be able to honor the rate, depending on room availability. Let us know if you have any questions. Please use the link below (labeled "View") to book your room in the hotel block! The block is available Thursday, March 27-Sunday, March 30. The room block rate is $195/night, plus taxes. Self-parking at the hotel is $25/night, though you may also be able to find street parking in that area! The hotel is a 20-minute drive from the venue, but we chose it because it is walkable to the many bars, restaurants, and shops in NuLu! There are also plenty of hotels within a short distance of the venue if that is your preference! Please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions at all.
Hotel
This hotel is super close to the venue--and there are several other hotels nearby also, if that is your preference! It is very drivable to plenty of restaurants and shops--typical suburban options!
If you are staying in/visiting NuLu/Butchertown, we recommend: shopping at Red Tree, Work the Metal, and Mahonia; grabbing coffee at Quills; eating at Garage Bar, Pizza Lupo, and Biscuit Belly; and enjoying a drink at Seven, Tartan House, or Whirling Tiger! There are tons of additional, cool places to check out in this neighborhood--you could easily spend an entire afternoon/evening here!
If you are staying in/visiting Clifton and Crescent Hill, we recommend: shopping at Redefine Design and Carmichael's; grabbing coffee at Quills or Please and Thank You; eating at Pizza Lupo, Osaka, Irish Rover, Eggs Over Frankfort, and Blue Dog; and enjoying a drink at Silver Dollar! Liz lived in this neighborhood for a long time, so we have plenty of other suggestions; don't hesitate to reach out!
If you are staying/visiting Downtown, we recommend: shopping at Art Eatables; checking out the art at 21c and KMAC; grabbing coffee (and pastries!) at Wiltshire Pantry; eating at Proof On Main or Brendon's Catch 23 (fancy) or Spinelli's or Safier (casual); and enjoying a drink at META or the Bar at Fort Nelson! There are a bazillion drinking-related activities downtown--we haven't done them all, but if you have any questions please let us know and we will get you the answers!
If you are staying in/visiting the Highlands/Germantown, we recommend: shopping at Louisville Stoneware, Artist & Craftsman Supply, Fat Rabbit, and Carmichael's; grabbing coffee at Bean or Safai; eating at El Mundo, Monnik, Toasty's, The Cafe, and Gralehaus; and enjoying a drink at Holy Grale, MerryWeather, Darling's, or Big Bar. This is a pretty large area with tons of great bars and restaurants--it is hard to go wrong! Let us know if you'd like additional recs!
Walk along the river and across the bridge to Indiana, where there are more shops and restaurants to explore! Great views of the city!
One of Louisville's most beautiful parks! A great place to walk around, or you can rent a bike and explore!
In honor of all of the book lovers in our lives, we are hosting a book swap at the reception! If you'd like to participate (encouraged, but absolutely not required), please bring with you a book that you love and want to share. During the cocktail hour and reception, you can peruse the books and choose one to take home with you. We will have a special stamp made that you can use to stamp the inside of your book and commemorate the occasion.
Yes! We are excited to share that we will have a (family friendly!) drag show during our reception, starring some of our very own local queens!! Please bring a few $1's and your party energy and join us for a super-fun evening celebrating our community!
Not really! Preferably no jeans, but we want everyone to wear whatever makes them happy!
Yes, absolutely!
The ceremony and reception are taking place at the same location, and there is plenty of parking at the venue. Please park in the paved lots--it is a state park and we are not permitted to park in the grass!
Please enter the first and last name of one member of your party below.
If you're responding for you and a guest (or your family), you'll be able to RSVP for your entire group on the next page.
