New England Aquarium
Learn about aquatic animals from around the world. With more than 70 exhibits and a Giant Ocean Tank with over 600 animals, the New England Aquarium lets you examine creatures and their habitats. For a more personal encounter, visit the new Shark and Sting Ray Touch Tank, where you can literally reach out and touch cow nose rays, bonnethead sharks, Atlantic rays and epaulette sharks.
Fenway Park
Visit the home of the Boston Red Sox. Opened in 1912 and just recently celebrating its 100th year anniversary, Fenway Park is the nation’s oldest professional baseball stadium still in use. Salem
Also just 8 miles North of Nahant is Salem, MA (another waterfront town), most known for the witch trials of 1692. Salem is full of local history and interesting things to do. Salem is a tourist favorite since it is a walking city and has lots boutique shops and restaurants. Tour Salem’s most visited museum The Salem Witch Museum and experience the drama of the witch trials in life-size stage sets, figures, lighting and stirring narration. Also learn more about real Pirates at the New England Pirate Museum. Visit The Peabody Essex Museum, the oldest operating museum in the U.S. featuring 1.8 million art works. North Shore
