We had a class together freshmen year at UWO but did not officially meeting until our sophomore year in our dorm's study lounge- aka Megan caught Des creepin while she was trying to aggressively study for an exam she had pushed off studying for. A few minutes later, Des nervously came and sat in the lounge a few chairs away. Megan asked Des if she wanted to join her and long story short, they talked for HOURS. and hours. Many, many years later and we are still talking each other's ears off.
Surprise (kinda)! Last summer, we decided to elope on Neskowin Beach in Oregon, on Monday evening during golden hour, with Megan's best friend officiating, a photographer, and two friends (that just so happened to be in Oregon at the same time) to witness. We all got ready together in a cute little Airbnb right off the beach, made some pasta, took to the beach where we found the perfect spot to share our vows and snap some photos, and ended the evening with card games and drinks. We both felt importance in doing something intentional for just us, without the pressures of hosting a huge party at the time, and this day couldn't have been more beautiful (take a look at our gallery for some photos)! Now though, we are so excited to share our day with our favorite people!
