Join us for a Kansas City Barbecue Dinner and Cocktails. Two shuttles will depart from Loews Hotel at 5:30 pm. Please meet by the main entrance between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm. If you miss one of the two shuttles, you'll need to catch an Uber!

For our guests staying at Loews Hotel, "Overland Park Chauffeured" shuttles will pick up in front of the main entrance. If you are in family photos, your shuttle is no later than 4pm. Otherwise, guest shuttles will run every 10-15 minutes starting at 4:30 pm. Please try to catch one before 5:00 pm! If you leave later than that, you will be late for our Wedding Ceremony. Guests arriving after our Wedding Ceremony has commenced will be escorted to the Cocktail Hour location. 4:00pm Family Shuttle Leaves -- STRICT 4:30 pm Guest Shuttles start picking-up at Loews Hotel 5:00 pm Guest Arrival 5:30 pm Wedding Ceremony located on Tapis Vert 6:00 pm Cocktail Hour located at East Sculpture Terrace 7:00 pm Wedding Reception located at Kirkwood Hall Hosted self parking in the museum garage.

What should I wear?
Answer
Black Tie Attire: Black tuxedos for gentlemen and evening gowns for women. Gala style dresses. Something artful, unique, and unconventional. Be inspired by The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art venue. Open for interpretation. Please take a look at the dress inspiration board.

Answer
While we love your children, only children in the wedding party will be present at the wedding. We want our guests to be able to enjoy the evening stress free! If you need a local babysitting service, Nanny Nexus is an option.

How do we get to the wedding venue from Loews Hotel?
Answer
Transportation will be provided to and from the venue on the day of the wedding. Shuttles will run between Loews Hotel and The Nelson-Atkins Museum. Please refer back closer to event date for shuttle times.

All Loews Hotel guests will arrive by shuttle at The Nelson-Atkins Museum main entrance. For all local guests, there will be hosted self parking in the museum garage.

What time should we arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
We highly encourage everyone to arrive no later than 5pm. Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm. It will take 15 minutes to walk through The Nelson-Atkins Museum and find the ceremony location. Any guests that arrive later than 5:30pm, will be ushered to the cocktail hour location.

Is your wedding indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors on the Tapis Vert grass lawn. Our reception will be indoors at Kirkwood Hall.

What will the weather be like?
Answer
Kansas City climate can be unpredictable. The weather at this time of year should be beautiful. Daytime averaging 60-75 degrees, but can get chilly at night. Please check weather week of to be sure.

Am I allowed to take photos during the ceremony?
Answer
We would greatly appreciate if you would avoid taking any photos or videos during the ceremony. Feel free to take them any time after ceremony concludes.
