Beach Park Hangout

11:30 am

Onekahakaha Beach Park, Pavilion 7
74 Onekahakaha Road, Hilo, HI 96720

We reserved a covered pavilion with picnic tables at the far-right end of this easy-access, family-friendly beach park… to hang out, talk story, and enjoy the views. Bring your own lunch, snacks, and beverages (hard or soft). Pack a bathing suit, towel, and sunscreen if you want to take a dip in the shallow sea, protected by a breakwater from the open ocean. Let’s hang loose Hawaiian style! From Kalaniana'ole Street, turn left onto Onekahakaha Road. Before the road ends, go right into the parking lot on the right side of the beach park. If there’s room, park in the small gravel parking lot at the far end beyond the big paved parking lot. It’s down a narrow gravel drive past a fence and a small bathroom. The last pavilion (#7) is on the far-right grassy area of the beach park right next to the small gravel parking lot.
