q & a

Question

What does "Formal Attire" mean?

Answer

We're happy if you come as you are, but would love for everyone to have fun looking their best. You only get married once! For the ladies: A full-length gown or a sophisticated cocktail dress. For the gentlemen: A dark suit or tuxedo.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the ceremony to cake and brunch?

Answer

No, we will not have transportation available between the two venues.

Question

When should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 10:30 AM. We ask that guests arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the start time to take their seats.

Question

Where do I go after the ceremony?

Answer

Drive 5 minutes north of Mt. Gilead Baptist and arrive at the beautiful Fearrington Village property. There will be staff there to help with parking and entering into the Garden Terrace for a coffee and tea hour.

Question

How should I prepare for the January weather?

Answer

North Carolina in the wintertime is relatively cold. Both the Church ceremony and Garden Terrace will be heated. There will be some outside walking due to departure and arrivals from two venues so we encourage you to wear an appropriately insulated jacket depending on the temperature of the day. Blankets will be available to those who would like a little extra warmth during the cake and brunch!

Question

Where do I sit for Cake and Brunch?

Answer

The cake and brunch reception will be open seating for all guests with the exception of immediate family. We encourage you to find friendly faces you know, or may not know and fellowship with them :)

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

The rehearsal dinner is the only other event occurring during the wedding weekend, which is extended to only the immediate family of the bride and groom. We appreciate your understanding.
