Flight
If you are flying here, then flying directly to Portland International Jetport (PWM) is the easiest option for attending our wedding. The airport is just a 10-15 minute drive from downtown, with plenty of nearby hotel and rental options. Uber, Lyft, and taxis are available for pick up at the airport. If you're flying into Boston Logan International Airport (BOS), we recommend taking the Concord Coach Lines Bus to the Portland Transportation Center. The ride takes about 2 hours and offers comfortable seating, free WiFi, and convenient schedules. Another option from the Boston area is the Amtrak Downeaster train, which departs from Boston’s North Station and arrives in Portland at the Transportation Center in about 2.5 hours. The Portland Transportation Center is about a 10 minute drive to downtown.
Travel Note
Portland has plenty of great places to stay, whether you want to be steps from the ferry terminal or a short ride away. Walkable Stay Recommendations - The Press Hotel Portland Harbor Hotel Canopy by Hilton AC Hotel Portland Waterfront Short Drive Recommendations - Holiday Inn by the Bay La Quinta Inn & Suites Best Western Merry Manor Inn Airbnbs & Vacation Rentals - Portland and the surrounding areas offer fantastic rental options, from historic homes to modern lofts. If you're traveling with a group or prefer a homey feel, Airbnb or VRBO are great choices! Additional Areas - You can also find great hotels and rentals in neighboring towns like South Portland and Falmouth, just a 10-25 minute drive from downtown. Uber and Lyft are readily available in these areas as well. Note: We do not have a hotel block or hold. While we explored this option, Portland, in the summertime, has little incentive to offer deals for our guests. Tip: Portland is a popular destination in the summer—book your stay early!
Travel Note
If you're driving to attend the reception or just exploring, there are plenty of parking options in downtown Portland: Street Parking - Metered parking is available throughout downtown and the waterfront. Most meters accept coins or mobile payment with the Passport Parking app. Rates vary, and meters typically operate from 9 AM – 6 PM, Monday through Saturday (free on Sundays and holidays). Residential Parking - Free street parking is commonly found on Munjoy Hill and The Eastern Promenade, just a slightly more lengthy walk to the Ferry Terminal, but still convenient to the area and our reception. Parking Garages & Lots- There are several public garages, including Casco Bay Ferry Terminal Parking Garage, Custom House Garage, Ocean Gateway Garage, Fore Street Garage, and Spring Street Garage, offering hourly and daily rates. Portland is a walkable city, so once you park, it’s easy to explore on foot

We want everyone to have an amazing time celebrating with us, so here are a few tips to make sure you're comfortable and prepared for the day: Take Motion Sickness Pills If Needed - Our wedding reception will take place on a ferry, so if you’re prone to seasickness, we recommend bringing motion sickness pills or taking them before boarding. Bring a Layer - Bring a light jacket or sweater if you’re prone to getting cold, as the breeze from the ocean can make it feel chillier than it seems. Comfortable shoes are also a good idea, as we’ll be on a boat for a few hours.
