Flash back to 15 years ago. We both attended Parkview Church and I had the biggest crush on this cute blonde haired boy with the coolest glasses. Little did we know that'd lead us to today!
We actually ran into each other at Fair Trade Cafe where we both were playing an acoustic set. After the gig, we hung out for a bit and Danny gave me an extra long hug. (Insert all the butterflies here). I told him "let me give you my digits" cause we are cool and just super "hip" like that. Then we had our first date. We met over at a coffee shop in Ormond Beach (literally have Jesus and Coffee to thank for our relationship). It was rainy but we made the most of it. Graham instantly took to Danny and convinced him to come hang out for a bit longer at my parents house. We sat there and talked for 8 hours straight. We dated for a couple of months and actually decided that it just wasn't the right time for us yet to be in a relationship.
Flash forward to February 3rd, 2019. We both were invited to our friend's Super Bowl party and neither of us were going to go. We also had no idea the other would be there! Graham and I walked in and Danny's jaw fell to the floor. (Wish I could've seen this happen lol) Danny told me he was just thinking of texting me the day to tell me about his Dad's new coffee company, since he knows how much I love coffee. I got alllllll those butterflies when I saw Danny. He eventually made his way over and we talked the entire party. We haven't stopped since.
We had a date day planned for a few weeks, so I had NO idea he was going to ask. We drove to St. Augustine and grabbed some coffee at the Kookaburra. Talked about our future and houses and all that jazz. Then we headed over to the beach side. We actually ended up directly across from Salt Life Food Shack which is where we had our second "First Date". We walked down on the beach and opened up the bible to read a bit and spend some time with God. Once we finished, Danny explained that he had been a little nervous because he was about to make the biggest decision of his life. I knew right then and there what he meant! He got down on his knee and asked me to be his best friend for our entire lives. Which leads us to today <3
