Question

Will you provide transportation to the venue?

Answer

We will offer transportation to/from the venue from the Country Inn & Suites in downtown Flagstaff (our hotel block). Transportation will pick-up and drop-off directly from the hotel lobby. Pick-ups are as follows: Round 1 will be leaving at 2:45pm and Round 2 will be leaving at 3:30pm. Please indicate on your RSVP if you will be using transportation and your preference for bus pickup time to the venue (2:45pm or 3:30pm pick-up time). Transportation back to the hotel will be on the hour every hour starting at 8:00pm, with the last departure from the venue being at 10:30pm. Please note, if you plan to use rideshare services, they may not provide rides to/from the Arboretum, due to the location. Please see the FAQ below. Please note, if you do decide to drive, the Arboretum is located at the top of a 2-mile dirt road that does not have lights after dark.

Question

Are rideshare apps (such as Lyft or Uber) available in the area?

Answer

Rideshare apps are available in Flagstaff; however, drivers may not be willing to drive you to/from the arboretum. Therefore, we discourage depending on rideshare apps to get to/from the wedding. We will provide roundtrip transportation between our wedding venue and the Country Inn & Suites hotel in downtown Flagstaff. Please RSVP whether or not you will be using our provided transportation services, as we will need to have a headcount.

Question

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

Answer

Both our wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the Flagstaff Arboretum in Flagstaff, AZ (4001 S Woody Mountain Rd, Flagstaff, AZ 86005). Guests will not need to transport between venues.

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will be outdoors. The average temperature for Flagstaff during October is a high of 63 degrees and a low of 32 degrees. The reception will be held in a heated tent. Please dress appropriately.

Question

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

For guests, cocktail attire is appropriate. To us, cocktail attire means a suit or sport coat (if that's your style). If dresses are your thing, short or long dresses are appropriate. Please keep in mind that the ceremony and reception will take place outside on the soft, earthy ground with woodchips. While your stilettos may match your outfit perfectly, they may not be the best option for the evening.

Question

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

That's tough to say with Flagstaff in mid-October. We are hoping for a beautiful, sunny, 60-degree day. The average temperature for Flagstaff during October is a high of 63 degrees and a low of 32 degrees. We suggest a coat just in case since our wedding will go into the evening, but the reception will be held in a heated tent. Please check the weather when you arrive and plan accordingly.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Our wedding has a strict guest list and is RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed when you RSVP. If you have a plus one, they will be listed in your party.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. Make it a special date night!

Question

Is the arboretum accessible for those with mobility issues?

Answer

Due to our wedding being hosted in an arboretum, please expect the ground to be uneven and mind your step. We will provide lighting to the restrooms and around the reception when it is dark; however, please be careful. If you have any specific needs or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to Staci or Danielle.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We have hired a professional photographer so our guests can be fully present with us at the ceremony. We kindly request all cell phones are turned off and cameras are put away so our guests can share this special moment with us. Pictures are welcome and encouraged throughout the reception! We will have QR code signage at the reception where our guests can easily upload their photos from our day. Please share the love with us!

Question

Can I bring a physical gift with me to the reception?

Answer

We will be traveling to Flagstaff for the wedding just like all of you. Cards are welcome at the reception as we can easily get those home. Please take a look at our wedding registry on the website.

Question

Will there be any vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/special diet options?

Answer

Absolutely! Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options will be available. Please note any dietary restrictions when submitting your RSVP.

Question

Can I leave my car overnight at the venue?

Answer

Unfortunately, our wedding venue does NOT offer overnight parking. If you drive your vehicle to the venue, it must go home with you that evening. Please keep this in mind when planning your travel to/from the venue.

Question

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

The Flagstaff Arboretum offers complimentary parking on-site. Vehicles are not permitted overnight.

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have a hotel block for our guests in downtown Flagstaff, AZ (Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Flagstaff Downtown, AZ), and recommend staying at this property so you can fully enjoy the downtown Flagstaff area. Click the "travel" tab on this website for more details. There are also many Airbnb options for you to choose from if that fits your needs.

Question

I'm traveling from out-of-town. What is the closest airport?

Answer

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is the nearest major airport to Flagstaff, AZ. We recommend our out-of-town guests fly in and out of PHX. PHX is approximately 2.5 hours from Flagstaff, so guests will need to be prepared to rent a car.

Question

I'm traveling from out-of-town. Do you suggest getting a rental car?

Answer

Yes, we definitely recommend a rental car for the duration of your stay. While we will provide transportation from our hotel to the wedding venue, we suggest having a rental car for your trip so that you can go to the Grand Canyon or Sedona, Arizona. Having a rental car for the weekend will provide much more flexibility to explore and enjoy the surrounding areas for the remainder of your trip.
