Will the wedding be climate controlled?

Answer

Our ceremony will be held in a shaded outdoor setting under the balcony of large trees. The reception will be held outside in a tent. The bathrooms are well air conditioned. Please dress according to the weather.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

No, semi-formal, but comfortable, is generally recommended. We ask that women avoid wearing white, as that is reserved for the bride. Please wear comfortable shoes, our festivities will be held in grassy areas that will not be conducive to narrow-heeled shoes.

Are kids or extra guests allowed?

Answer

Please only bring those that are invited to the wedding, as they are included in our head count for seats and food. We would prefer this special day to be a date night for our friends and family, however if that is not feasible we would rather have you and your children attend, then to feel your absence. Please reach out to the bride or groom if the number of RSVPs is not what was expected or for other circumstances.

Is there a far walk from the parking lot to the ceremony or reception area?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are both on the property where parking is located. The ceremony is across the pond, which takes approximately 5 minutes to walk (there is not a paved pathway, expect a grass walk way). There will be a golf cart to assist those who request a ride to the ceremony. The walk to the reception tent and parking at the end of the night is short and will be well lit, if needed the golf cart ride will be available.

Is photography permitted during the ceremony or reception?

Answer

We are asking that our friends and family refrain from taking pictures/videos during our ceremony as we wish for everyone to enjoy the moment with us and to avoid such a distracting activity. We have professional photographers coming to the wedding, and we will be excited to share our pictures with everyone once they are developed. Please take as many pictures as you wish after the ceremony (cocktail hour, dinner, dances, reception, etc.)

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

YES! We will be having an open bar that provides soft drinks, tea, lemonade, beer, wine, and some liquor. Please enjoy yourselves, drink responsibly, and be safe.

Will there be events or activities we should be aware of?

Answer

Our reception is meant to be a relaxing and fun time for everyone. We will have a DJ and dance floor all night, photo booth, and yard games (including corn hole, giant Jenga, giant connect four).
