It was right after the world shut down and I, Stephanie was tired of being under quarantine. It was my 34th birthday and I decided to go out with a friend for dinner and drinks. It was that night we ran into a bunch of military soldiers and got talking. Cory and I instantly became friends at that moment. I showed him around New York and just found myself wanting to be around him all the time. He finally gained the courage to kiss me a few months later, and from that moment, we fell in love. We moved pretty fast since he didn’t have much time left in New York. When he got his new orders to move to Texas, I knew I had to go with him. After a year in Texas he again gathered the courage to propose to me! Obviously I said yes!!!!
Maid of Honor
The bride’s older sister. My only sibling. She’s been by my side since the day I was born. I couldn’t imagine having anyone else help me through one of the biggest days of my life. I will never forget our nights out together where I would bet every man in the bar they couldn’t beat her in a round of golf! Then waking up the next morning so excited we took pictures that we didn’t remember taking. Another good memory was the time we drank an entire gallon of milk when we were younger so we could possibly drink soda for dinner that night only to have our father come home with a new gallon of milk. The stories will never end, and now we have our boys to continue making new memories. I am honored to have you help me through my big day.
Best Man
Chris is not just my best man, he is my best friend ever since we were kids. We went to the same school and did absolutely everything together. He always had my back and I always had his. We both were into the same things that any typical boys would be Cars, video games and when we got older we even got into guns as well. It is difficult to think of a time during my childhood where Chris and I were ever apart. I could never have asked for a greater "Best friend". For the last 20 years or so I have made other friends and had good times. I have made enough to count on two hands but There is only one without a shadow of a doubt I call more than a best friend I call him BROTHER.
Groomsman
My brother in law John is a man who has captured my sister's heart. He has been welcoming since the first time I met him. I feel that I can be myself around him as long as I am not screaming at my video games late at night when visiting. He is a very hard worker; accomplishing any task he puts his mind too. But beside the long work hours he knows what is important; FAMILY. He is a loving husband and father, who he works hard for so he can provide the best future he can. I am proud to call him family.
Groomsman
Josh is one those people that you rarely meet. He is impossible not to like and relate with. From the time that I met him it was easy to get along with and feel that this is a person you could converse with for hours. When I visit Arizona to spend time with family and we all get together I know that everyone is in store for a great night when the sentence ends with "oh and Josh will be there". He has shown me what good drinks and good vibes can do to brighten even the worst of days. I can't think of a better person to hang around.
Groomsman
Ever heard of chip off the old block? That is Greyson. You can see where he gets his high energy and tenacity of putting all his focus into all the tasks that he does. He is highly athletic and a kid that any parent would be proud of. I have never known him to be in a bad mood or ever rude to anyone. He also grows like a foot a year. Eventually he will have to duck when going through doors. Beside everything I am looking forward to seeing what he achieves.
Groomsman
Shea stole my heart from day one. 15 years flew by watching him grow from “mama” to “bruh”. Shea and I have conquered the world together and I am truly blessed to have him as my son. I am beyond proud of him. There is no one else I’d rather be at the alter with Cory and I. From Cory: When I was first seeing Stephanie, she was a little hesitant to have me meet Shea as any mother would. But the three of us very quickly got close. Whenever he was not out riding his bike and hanging out with his friends that is. Shea, Stephanie and I would go to sun flower patches, corn cob festivals and pumpkin picking. Every year he manages to trick me into doing the majority of the pumpkin carving. You learn very quickly two things about Shea. One is he is very money motivated so he is highly motivated to get into any career that will be the highest paying regardless of the hard work that is entails. And two is his love for pets as long as they don’t live in his room. Watching him grow from a boy to a young man has been one of the greatest pleasures and blessings in my life. I can't wait to see what he will accomplish next. He is more to me than just a step son. He is is someone I trust, and want to educate. He motivates me to be a better man so I can be the best role model for his growth of becoming a man. These are the traits that a father instills and passes down to a son. I cannot see Shea as anything but one thing. That is and always will be my SON.
Bridesmaid
Kim and I met at Applebees where we both worked. We instantly became friends. She has a great sense of humor and can never have a dull moment around her. We have great memories together and continue to grow as individuals and friends. We LOVE hamburgers and hot dogs lol
Bridesmaid/ Cory’s sister
My sister was always a Second mother when my mom was not around. She was always quick to tell you what's what & to be the big sister whether that be a defender, an advisor, inner- family trouble starter. She has always been there for me. I know that she is always there when I need her and makes my life even better with her as my sister.
Bridesmaid
Melissa and I have been friends with since we worked together back in 2012 being special education teachers. She’s smart, funny and knows how to have a good time! I love our Fire Island trips, and fire nights! I am blessed to have her as a part of my bridal party.
Bridesmaid
Marianne and I, have known each other since we were were five. We grew up down the street from each other in NY and here we both are in Texas 20 years later less than 10 minutes from one other. It seems that fate won’t let us be too far apart from one another. Marianne is my ride or die. We’ve been through a lot, hurt together, laughed together and had kids not too far apart from one another who became friends too.
Bridesmaid
Bridget is one of my craftiest friends. I met her right before meeting Cory. We were meant to be friends. She loves to decorate and has a heart of gold. It’s even a plus that our kids became friends. She makes me laugh and has such confidence that I admire.
Junior Groomsmen
Keegan is our nephew. He is a smart handsome boy who is a star athlete. We love to watch him at his baseball games and hope one day he makes it to the major leagues! Keegan has a big personality and a big heart.
Junior Bridesmaid
Khloe is the daughter I never had. She’s my best friend’s daughter and I love watching her grow into a beautiful woman. She’s is so sweet and has the biggest heart. I couldn’t celebrate my big day without having her apart of it.
Ring Bearer
Patrick is our youngest nephew. He has a love for WWE, AEW (which he said is better) and animals. He is a very funny boy, and does not hold back from saying what’s on his mind. He is very smart and I love watching him grow.
Flower Girl
Lily is our niece. She is a beautiful, smart, caring little lady. She loves and adores her Uncle C and we couldn’t have picked a better girl to fill these big shoes!
Father of the Bride
The first man I ever loved. The one man that will be giving me away. My dad has always supported me with everything even when it was picking me up from school (knowing I wasn’t sick) or from camp because I didn’t want to be there, and always gave me advice when I needed it. He would even help me cover up whatever mess I made so I wouldn’t get in trouble before mom got home. Raising two girls couldn’t be easy for him but he rose to the occasion. Now he gets 3 grandsons who he instills his love of sports in them while being the best grandpa he can be. He always knows how to make you laugh, and even though he may have a hard shell deep down he’s just a big softie. Thank you dad for your support now and always.
Mother of the Bride
My mom. The queen. A woman I will always look up too. She’s the most hard working, and dependable person I’ve ever met. She would travel the world for me if that’s what I needed. My mom always pushed me to be the best I can be and is the greatest grandmother my sister and I could ask for. From extravagant birthday parties to making my bedspreads, her attention to detail is admiring. She’s so creative, there’s nothing she can’t do. I don’t like being so far away from her but I know she cherishes my 50 phone calls a day to say absolutely nothing.
Passage Reader
My aunt Evie. I admire this woman. She is so strong, and always makes sure to never forget anyone. She’s always sending us gifts and writing thoughtful letters to make sure we’re always included, being so far away. She lends an ear when I need to vent, reminds me to pray, and is so creative. I will always remember our vacations to lake George.
Mother of the Groom
People might call me a "mommas boy" well to be frank (I AM). It is hard not to be. My mother is the strongest and brightest; most influential people in my world. She raised me, taught me, and never let me forget that she is proud of me. She reminds me that she will always be there for me. I could not have asked for a better mother.
Father of the Groom
My father has always been someone that I have been inspired and supported by. He has always been there for me in both good and bad times. He has always been known as kind and caring. He won't hesitate to be there in your time of need. I owe my motivation to join the military to my father. Which set the path that brought me to my wife and an amazing life.
Step-pa
Gary my stepfather is a man that is worth having a conversation with. To you he may seem quiet and stand offish but he will ultimately be a life long friend just as long as you say “I am a republican and ask “do you like guns”. Growing up as a kid these are two bonding traits that brought us down a competitive life long path to see who knows more about politics or guns. I don’t just have a step father, I had a friend, an influencer, and a mentor who always had my best interests at heart. I may be a Frick but there is a Side of me that is also a Carrigan for I cannot deny the massive influence that my step father had on me. I have had an incredible life and could not have asked for a greater step Pa.
Officiant
The godmother. My aunt has been there for me and for her great nephews, whenever we needed. She instilled in me our catholic faith, and country music. I cherish our pool dates and weekly chats. Even if it’s a quick text I know she’s always thinking of me.
