Our story begins in 2018 when Nick was attending the CT Fire Academy in Windsor Locks. Nick, getting ready to graduate from the academy, reached out to Amy through an Instagram message out of all ways. They both attended Bolton High School, shared similar stories and hit it off right away after chatting back and forth. As comfort grew, Nick messaged Amy one night saying goodnight and to "text me when you can" to which her reply was "I don't have your number". This was Nick's plan all along trying to get her number in the smoothest way possible. Having not seen one another since high school, Nick's plan was to ask Amy out on a walk at Valley Falls in Vernon, CT. Throughout the time spent hiking, Nick had already made up his mind that he was going to ask Amy out to dinner that night at Ted's Montana Grill in Evergreen Walk. Every day from that point on was non-stop texting and calling until Nick graduated from the academy, being back home closer to Amy. One night after one of the first few dates, Nick dropped Amy off at her house. Talking for a few minutes in her driveway, it was time to say our goodbyes. As Amy was getting out of the car, Nick tells her "bye, I hope you have a good night" to which Amy's reply was "bye, love you!" This never gets old because although it was a slip of the tongue, it was something that foreshadowed the future and, something that can always be laughed at today, over 5+ years later. Ever since that point, Nick and Amy have been indissoluble and share a bond not like many, which both will always cherish, and remember forever.
