It’s story time 🤭 and I’m dropping this here in case a movie director wants to make a movie about our love 😂😂😂 Preferred title: How I Met Your Father. PS: the story long gan oo ❗️ I would like to use this opportunity to say a very big thank you to Charles for laughing hysterically when He came to visit me in Ibadan during my service year (early 2017) and to Fowosire for admitting me into the group. My motto that year was “conscious or Unconscious happiness”, hence I wanted to be a part of whatever was making Charles laugh that hard. Lo and behold it was a gaming group chat on WhatsApp (AlpaLords) and I begged him to let me join, that I didn’t mind playing the game 😂😂😂😂. It was an all-boys group (there were other ladies eventually)and I was there majorly for the bants but I eventually started playing the game(COC) and actually enjoyed it. I was everybody’s wife, girlfriend, and baby 😂, and boy did I get the good laugh I was looking for. Yes, the answer is yes! There were slides in the DM but it was mostly platonic (it was mostly from pained guys that I successfully yabbed 😂 or those that wanted to confirm that they didn’t overstep 😏. Chidera was part of the former 👩🏽‍🦯👩🏽‍🦯). From then Chidera and I became guys, we chatted once in a while and it was good bants. The first time we ever met in person was late 2017 at his Girlfriend’s sister’s wedding and I was dropped off at the wedding by my boyfriend at that time😂(I do not know how that wasn’t weird). We stayed friends for a while and then there were breaks in between. fast forward to 2020 when Covid made us all realize the importance of friendship, and we started talking more often again. At this point this man became my diary, we spoke about anything and everything. After Covid resolved, the friendship didn’t. At this junction, I didn’t know I was catching feelings 😂. The realization came one day (September 2020) when I had a near-death experience and the only person I wanted to talk to at that point was Chidera. It was at that point mo realized pe mo ti mess up. Small friendship I don dey catch feeling 😂😂😂. I couldn’t tell him cause I really cherished our friendship so I decided to withdraw until the feelings died but as the sharp guy that he is 😏 he noticed and Spoke about me withdrawing. I eventually spoke up about my feelings and He asked me “So did you now die?" 😭 before admitting that the feelings were mutual. We didn’t start dating until like 6 months after ( April 2021). Now, over three years down the line we have grown so much together; Spiritually, emotionally, physically, and Financially. Not to sound cliché but it’s safe to say I’m getting married to my guyest-guy or as the locals will say it; I’m marrying my best friend!
