Ryan and Chandler met on Hinge the Fall of 2021. After talking on the phone a few times before actually meeting in person, their first date was on a Friday night at Bowen House in Dallas, a victorian-style cocktail bar in a vintage house. After quickly connecting, Ryan and Chandler had a series of dinner dates, a trip to the Dallas State Fair and concerts to get to know one another. While the relationship was made official November 2nd, what truly solidified things, was when Chandler caught a strain of strep so bad, it required hospital attention, and Ryan was there for her first surgery and calmed the nerves of her parents in Denver. Mind you, this was three days after Ryan asked Chandler to be his girlfriend. After that experience, the relationship was a sure sign of one to last a lifetime!
Flash forward to the proposal. Ryan sent Chandler an invite to an “IBM HPC Reception”, claiming to have a work event on Saturday, June 2nd at the Dallas Arboretum at 4:30pm in cocktail attire. Ryan left no stone unturned - painted Chandler’s nails the night before, hired a photographer, and coordinated the entire family to be flown in for the proposal. What a fun surprise to not meet Ryan’s boss & coworkers, but instead, gather with family and friends to celebrate a lifetime of happiness! Ryan and Chandler look forward to celebrating with family and friends, near and far on their special day. Thank you to all that make the effort to travel to Texas to witness the marriage of Ryan and Chandler. The families look forward to having guests have a wonderful Dallas-Fort Worth experience to commemorate a love born in Texas and here to stay for a while! Cheers to The Chandlers!

Flight
The DFW area has two airports to fly into. DFW will get you closer to downtown Forth Worth and has more options for flying (United, Delta, American, etc.). Whereas Love Field will get you closer to downtown Dallas, and is predominately Southwest. For those out of state and in state, we so appreciate you making the effort to travel and attend our wedding. If you have any travel related inquires, please let Chandler Kennedy know at 404-915-1832.

This authentic historic district has become a hub for those interested in the rich legacy of the old west, a must-see mecca for those wanting to experience a piece of the past and learn more about what it was like to drive cattle along the trail to a thriving destination where cowboy culture and commerce intersected. If you do go to the Stockyards, make sure you make a stop at Billy Bob's, to enjoy the finest live country music nightly, and an authentic western atmosphere.
The Fort Worth Zoo was founded in 1909 with one lion, two bear cubs, an alligator, a coyote, a peacock and a few rabbits. The zoo now is home to 7,000 native and exotic animals and has been named as a top zoo in the nation by Family Life magazine, the Los Angeles Times and USA Today, as well as one of the top zoos in the South by Southern Living Reader's Choice Awards.
Shop and dine in the 35-block Sundance Square entertainment district, where you can catch a Broadway show at Bass Performance Hall or listen to live music at Sundance Square Plaza.
On the south side of Fort Worth is a hipster enclave called Magnolia. With restaurants representing every populated continent, there is an opportunity to plan a culinary experience featuring food from around the world - all on one street!
For any non-Baylor fans, please visit Ryan's old stomping grounds at TCU to learn about the academics and see the campus life.
Another barbecue place to try out, Heim Barbecue is a Fort Worth staple that produces amazing "farm to smoker" meats at their two locations in the city, (and one in Dallas.) The bacon burnt ends are by far the favorite menu item, and a must try for any newbies, and beyond that, the potato skins and loaded fries are fan faves too. Bonus, if you love whiskey, there are over 150 types to try!
While any restaurant along the Trinity River is sure to be a hit, Woodshed is in a league of its own, truly capitalizing on the Texan BBQ vibe and outdoor landscape. At Woodshed Smokehouse you are greeted by various logs of wood (Oak, Pecan, Hickory, you name it!) as you step into this tin-roof patio and out to a bonfire oasis. Grab a cocktail at their multiple bars, take in the fresh air from the Trinity River, and enjoy this flavorful menu created by Tim Love.
Located along the Trinity River, Press Cafe is the go-to for any guest who wants to enjoy a casual yet trendy brunch or lunch in a picturesque indoor/outdoor atmosphere. With their delicious new American menu and craft cocktails, you can’t order wrong! It’s the perfect family or friend eatery, and connected to a bike rental shop as well a farmers market every Saturday morning to finish out a lovely Fort Worth day.
You can't visit Fort Worth without a margarita from the famous Joe T. Garcia's! This cash-only 88 year old restaurant is an institution, and therefore you can bet that you will be waiting for a table. The wait can be so long that in fact, you can order margaritas in line! But you will find a stunning oasis of fountains and flora among the Spanish courtyard setting once you're settled. We can't promise the food will be the best on the list, but the experience will be one of them!
HG Supply Co. serves well sourced, minimally processed, properly portioned meals, craft beers, and cocktails in a rustic-chic locale with a rooftop patio.
If you are a whiskey lover, we highly recommend experiencing the largest whiskey distillery west of the Mississippi located on the historic former grounds of the Glen Garden Country Club. Their immersive tours on the art and science of whiskey distilling are entertaining for whiskey experts and beginners alike. Experience an up-close look at every step of distillation and aging which creates the distinct taste of TX Bourbon. Come hear the story behind their proprietary yeast, witness firsthand how they make custom caps, and enjoy a taste of TX all while taking in stunning views of downtown Fort Worth. The tour will conclude with a tasting in the Tavern and after, you will have the opportunity to try a delicious cocktail from their mixologist or browse the Ranch Store at your leisure.
The Trinity Trails extend through Fort Worth for over 70 miles along the Trinity River. It's a wonderful amenity for hikers, bikers, runners, and horseback riders and connects major areas like the Stockyards, Downtown, TCU/Zoo and Cultural District.
The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30pm CST, so we kindly ask guests to begin arriving to the venue at 5pm to be seated in the chapel in time. We will have live music before the ceremony from talented family members, in appreciation of your early arrival.
Yes, the venue has plenty of complimentary parking for guests driving.
All the bridesmaids will be wearing black dresses; however, feel free to wear black if you wish, as we are encouraging black attire to fit our black and white wedding theme.
The dress code is black tie preferred. This means that you should wear the nicest clothing you have access to. If you don’t already have a tuxedo or a floor length gown, a nice long or mid length cocktail dress or a suit is perfectly acceptable.
Yes, both the ceremony and the reception will be indoor. Cocktail hour will be open up for both indoor and outdoor celebrations on the property. We recognize July brings record heat in Texas, so we will have plenty of air conditioning and water to cool our guests.
If your guest’s name is listed on your invite and when you RSVP, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close friends and family.
We love your children, but we’ve decided to have an adults-only wedding. If you are traveling from out of town, we would be happy to help provide recommendations for local childcare options. We’re excited to celebrate with you and hope you enjoy a parent’s night out!
We are having an “unplugged” ceremony. This just means we are asking that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we’ve hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our lives, and we’d hate to have a well-meaning person’s phone blocking that moment for them to capture. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos as you want! And we promise to share the ceremony photos as soon as we get them!
Yes, the drinks are on us! Please drink responsibly!
We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a buffet, offering a selection of meats, vegan side dishes, and a salad will be served. Following dinner, we'll have a variety of sweet treats to select from.
Yes, we’re registered through Zola.
Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can have it delivered to our home, located at 2716 Ripplewood Drive Dallas, Texas 75228. A wedding card box & table will be at our reception, should you wish to bring an item the day of our wedding.
We recognize the event space is far from hotel blocks and the DFW area, so we will be planning our official send off at 10:15pm CST, with no planned after party events. Buses will arrive around this time, and will leave once capacity is made on-board.
