We both met at work during Chads first year of residency. It was the summer of 2019 at Weiss Hospital, I was 6 months into my nursing career. New residents were about to start at Weiss Hospital. It was 8am, I was standing by a computer about to pass medications to my first patient when Chad walks over to me and says “Hi I’m Chad! I’m one of the new residents here! I just thought I’d say hello and introduce myself” to be honest I was rather taken back. Chad was a loud individual. He also appeared very tan and had striking bright green eyes. I learned later on he had just returned from a trip in Columbia. As months passed we would hangout in the same circle of friends through work. A friend of mine had mentioned that Chad had a crush on me but I had told myself I wouldn’t date a coworker. Chad was always so sweet to the patients that him and I cared for together. I remember one day walking by a patients room and just watching him as he sat on the windowsill chatting with this sweet old lady. Chad was in there for over an hour. For many of you, this is not a surprise. I began to fall for these wonderful qualities that I saw in Chad. That December we both attended a holiday party together and toward the end of the night Chad walked me out to my Uber and said “I would love to have you over sometime, I have the best view in the city on my rooftop” I followed up on that invitation and the rest is history.

Flight
For our out of town guests, O'Hare International Airport is a great option, it is about 25 minutes from the venue and 20 minutes from the hotel.
Cocktail attire will be the dress code for our wedding. What is cocktail attire? Ultimately, it aims to strike a balance between formal and casual, as well as elegant and comfortable. Men typically wear a suit and tie while women wear a cocktail dress. For women this merges the silhouette of a garden party dress (shorter) with the fabric and embellishments of a formal gown. Think somewhere between a sophisticated formal occasion and office or party wear.
Parking at the venue is available but we also recommend utilizing transportation services like Uber or Lyft.
We hold a special place in our hearts for all families, and while we cherish the presence of children, we kindly ask that you make alternative arrangements for them during the evening. This way, all adults, particularly parents, can enjoy a night off and celebrate with us without any worries. Your understanding and support mean the world to us.
