1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
We'll likely be at City Hall until ~2:30 to take some photographs in the space. Case & Sarah will then go take some photos together for another ~1 hour before meeting up with everyone for cocktails at LUMA. Meanwhile, we invite you to make your way back to LUMA to check-in to the hotel at 3pm and get situated before our evening festivities.
If you do not live in SF, then YES we have preemptively booked you a hotel room at LUMA for Friday night. Please let us know if you would like to keep or cancel this option. We will have one room there for Thursday night too. You are welcome to drop your bags off and head to City Hall together (bag drop by 11:45am please; leaving for City Hall by 12:15pm sharp!).
If you're parking at City Hall: head to either the Performing Arts Garage (on Grove), or the Civic Center Plaza parking garages. If you're staying at LUMA: Jan 5 is a home game for the Warriors, and LUMA charges $100 (!!) a night for parking on home game nights. It's the most convenient option, but we're still looking for other options in the neighborhood (TBC). Everywhere we're going is also Uber/public transit accessible. You may consider carpooling from the East Bay, and/or dropping your bags at LUMA before the wedding and taking an Uber or Muni directly to City Hall.
Case & Sarah have been going to Vesuvios, the bar downstairs this venue, for 15 years. We've always wanted to host a swanky private dinner in the event space above, and this is our chance! It's a very intimate, 18-seat private chefs dinner in a gorgeous lofted space in North Beach. We hope you will love it.
TBD! Weather and energy levels permitting, we could bike along the Embarcadero to get coffee/breakfast at the Ferry Building on Saturday morning ~10am. Let's see how we feel!
Two main reasons: 1. After 15 years of partnership, we see this as a formal joining of families. We thought it would be fitting to just have our families present to "join together" in an intimate micro wedding. 2. We middle children don't like being the center of attention, and the thought of being so intimate in a crowd did not appeal to either of us. Keeping it tiny allows us to celebrate in a way that feels comfortable and true to us.
Bora Bora, baby! We fly out that Sunday. :)
