Abernethy Center
Our wedding location is the former Oregon City post office turned events venue in 2001. The ceremony will be in the Chapel, and the reception will be in the Ballroom immediately following the ceremony. These locations are in the same vicinity, about one city block apart.

Portland International Airport (PDX)
Abernethy Center is 17 miles from the airport in a suburb of Portland called Oregon City. It is probably easiest to navigate the Portland area by car, but uber/lyft and public transit are also options

Are kids welcome?
Answer
We love our friends' children, but are restricted by space for our wedding. Children present will be limited to immediate family, the bridal party, and young infants from out-of-town.

Can I bring a date?
Answer
We are limited in capacity, so regretfully cannot accommodate additional guests other than what is specified on your invitation.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Yes, the Abernethy Center has multiple parking areas, including accessible parking near the chapel and ballroom.

Will any wedding events be outside?
Answer
We are planning for an indoor ceremony and reception given the uncertainty with weather in mid-April in Oregon. To note, the route between the chapel and ballroom is about one block long and may be chilly or drizzly. Consider bringing a jacket and/or umbrella.

Is there a dress code?
Answer
Wear something that makes you feel special. We realize this leaves room for interpretation, and that's what we want. If you are looking for more guidance, think "creative cocktail" attire. This includes: dresses, dressy separates, shirt + slacks, suits. Ultimately we want you to feel comfortable. Bright colors or florals are welcome.
