Why are we holding two different events?

Answer

We understand this isn't the traditional way for weddings today. We hope you can understand the personal choices we have made to make our day special for us. Ellicottville has always been a special place to us but,unfortunately the venue we have chosen can only accommodate a limited number of people. As stated on the invite, we were very intentional about the guest list for the ceremony. That being said, we understand that having two different dates isn't convenient for those who need to travel, who have kids, etc. We take no offence if you cannot come to both or to either. We know everyone has different circumstances and it's never our intention to add inconvenience. We always want everyone to do what's best for them! For context to differentiate the two different days. September 28th- James and Rose will be exchanging their vows with a dinner to follow. All to end around 8 o'clock with the venue reserved until 10pm. November 9th- the party! We will be having a cocktail style reception with open bar, apps and stations followed by live music!

Is there lodging available?

Answer

We have included a few airbnbs that fit any number of people for those wanting to share space with others. You're also welcome to do your own research for what works best for you. There is a hotel in town, which is walking distance to the venue. See hotel block information under the Travel tab. Following the ceremony we will have dinner, this will end around 8 if you're interested in driving home after! We just ask that you do so responsibly. Ubers are available in town but at a very limited capacity. Again, we want everyone to do what makes the most sense for them. *To note, some of the airbnbs are owned by friends of mine. If you're interested in booking off the ones I shared here please contact me and I will connect you with the owners! Most of them have offered to block off the weekend already/give deals where they can.

Where can we find your registry?

Answer

We want to make it clear that your presence is the only gift we need. For our reception in November we will be accepting gifts for anyone who feels inclined but again, it's never expected! Our registry will be made available for our November reception!

Due to limited capacity, only those who are listed on the invite are accounted for in our numbers.

Is there a dress code?

We ask that all guests come in cocktail attire for our special day!

Is there other activities throughout the weekend?

Answer

We want to make this day as easy as we can for everyone. If we can only take a couple hours from you that's what's important to us. However, Ellicottville is full of bars, restaurants and other activities that we have listed under the "Things to do" tab if you'd like to make a weekend of it.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer
