We met through mutual friends and started dating our Freshman year. I wouldn't say that we had an AH-HA moment and that this is the person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with, but I will say now that I wouldn't have it any other way. Through our relationship, we have learned together to communicate and support each other, and strengthening our bond along the way.

The day of the proposal was just an ordinary day. We spent most of the day canning pickles. We had to look at some steers we were considering buying out in Kendrick. On our way back home, Brooks mentioned that he wanted to get a canoe of all things from his grandma's property in Troy. Once we got there, he had a picnic set up for us. After a while of talking and enjoying the sunset, Brooks got down on one knee. WE ARE ENGAGED!
