How We Met
Brontë was working at Stone Bru, a coffee shop in Sioux City, when Alex walked in. It was love at first sight for Brontë. Alex asked for a cortado, a drink Bronte had never heard of, so she went to ask her coworkers how to make it when Alex told her he used to work at Stone Bru and he knew how to make it. After she made the drink for Alex, and he left, she asked her coworkers why she had never heard of this guy before to which they said: ‘he has a girlfriend’ (queue sad music) They kept seeing each other around town at concerts, restaurants and bars and Alex was always with his girlfriend until one day…he was alone. Brontë asked him where his girlfriend was and he told her that they had split. (Queue happy music) They started following each other on social media and when Brontë had to put her dog down in the fall of 2018, Alex reached out to her to offer his condolences. They started messaging (mostly talking about dogs) and Brontë asked Alex out for sushi. The rest is history! Their first date was December 27th, 2018.

What should I wear?
Answer
Check the weather first! The wedding technically doesn’t have a theme but if it did it would be ‘floral/spring’ (ladies think of floral dresses or jumpsuits! Guys, a nice suit or jacket with kakhis works just fine) It’s early May in Iowa, check your weather app! It it’s snowing or raining, make sure to bring a jacket or umbrella.

Is the ceremony outside or inside?
Answer
This depends on the weather but for right now, we are planning for an outdoor ceremony. If the weather turns sour, we can move the ceremony indoors. The reception afterwards is indoors.

What are the food/beverage options?
Answer
We have a pasta bar/Italian buffet with vegetarian and gluten free options. There is a cash bar for alcohol, and there are NA options as well.

When should I arrive for the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive early to find parking and take your seats. The bride walks down the aisle at 4!

Can I use my phone to take pictures/videos?
Answer
During the ceremony, please keep your phones put away, Brontë and Alex have hired their friend Taylor to capture the day and the photos will be available on the website after the wedding. After the ceremony, it’s free game!

There is a cash bar available after the ceremony. There is a bar upstairs or downstairs where the reception will be.
