Around April 2018, Briana and Anthony were both visiting the Churchill Smoke Shop in Jackson, MS to buy gifts. Briana told Anthony it was her first time there so he paid for the gift she was purchasing. Once they introduced themselves, they started to learn a few fun facts about one another which led to them exchanging phone numbers. Anthony was just an older friend guy to Briana that was giving her advice about life which attracted her to him because he was so mature. They started to go on lunch dates everyday which led to them dating. They learned that they had a lot more in common than they thought being that there is a 26 year age difference.

Their dear friends Marcus and Dena Turner hosted a surprise wedding in October 2020. They joined them for their honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico. Anthony and Briana decided to take a daytime excursion to Isla Mujeres, MX so they visited a jewelry store as soon as they arrived. As Briana tried on a tanzanite ring, she made the comment say, “If you love me then you’d marry me.” She thought nothing of it because it was just a joke so they left the jewelry store and continued to shop around. After 30 minutes, the jeweler approached Briana with the tanzanite ring that Anthony secretly purchased. Briana thought it was just some gift. Later that evening, they went to dinner on the beach and Anthony asked Briana on one knee would she accept that ring and become his wife. She said yes to the engagement ring and the rest is history.
