It was 2015 - We met each other on American Idol, of all places. Brett had been on the show, and in the television business for that mtter, for all but 4 months when we met. Lily came in hot, and full of steam - a force to be reckoned with. Brett knew from the moment she walked into the studio that day that he liked her. She soon became one of his absolute favorite people to be around on set. Sassy and smart, witty and kind; knew her way around and knew who to talk to to get what she needed when she needed it. Brett had a lot to learn... As the years went on so many productions would have us crossing paths and working together. We've worked on at least 8 shows together. Until last year, back working on American Idol, Brett really began to see her in a different light. The show ended in May and our story had just begun. Brett had left for a 1 month work trip but we talked for hours every day and well into every night. Brett was mesmerized and wanted to learn everything he could about this wonderful person. When he returned from his trip in July, we started dating and the rest is history!

In November we went to Catalina for a romantic weekend of fun and adventure and I knew by the end of that trip that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. We started looking at houses in our free time, just to kill time and see what is out there. Upon one of these trips, we fell in love with a house in Inglewood and bought it by January. One night, we were watching a movie and I had been sweating and acting weird. She could tell... I needed to tell this woman what I had been hiding... I reached in my pocket and fumbled horribly thru my prewritten speech. I got down on one knee and she started crying and laughing and was so flooded with emotions. She said yes!
