Blaire and Jaron met on January 27th, 2021, on a (fill in the blank… they always make up different stories about how they met when they meet people to have a little fun). The truth is, they met on a dating app, which isn’t peculiar. Blaire was a dating blogger in her early 20s and wrote a book about dating and apps, so she was bound to eventually meet someone on one! Jaron was the guy who finally earned her love. Their first date was in Malibu, California, on a rainy day. Jaron gifted Blaire with a necklace, bought her a smoothie, and they played a card game, “We’re Not Really Strangers,” while gazing out at the strikingly blue Pacific Ocean. They took a walk on the beach, and it began to rain, which prompted their first kiss. Jaron washed off Blaire’s feet before she got into his car, and she knew that was a little smile from God (John 13:2-17) that this one might just work out. Since that date, they have been inseparable, traveling the world and creating a beautiful life together in Malibu, California. They’ve adopted two puppies, Afina and Penelope, and four chickens, Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Moaning Mertle. Jaron has supported Blaire through bouts with her health, deaths in her family, authoring a book, and changes in her career. Blaire has supported Jaron by stepping into the role of “bonus mom” for his two sons, Jace (10) and Behr (7), while he ran two businesses and rebuilt his home, which had burned down in a fire. They constantly push each other to be their best version. They make a great team and are excited to build an empire together for the rest of their lives.
Jaron and Blaire’s favorite thing to do is travel the world. They’ve been to 15 countries in the short three years that they’ve been together. Jaron and Blaire’s first overseas trip began in London, where they enjoyed drinks in pubs and skyscrapers overlooking the city lights, views of famous sights like Buckingham Palace at night, walks along the river Thames while listening to music at sunset, and train rides into the English Countryside to meet their family friend’s the Neil’s. When Blaire saw that Jaron had traveled on a plane alone for 11 hours to meet her, only to be stranded at Heathrow Airport for 6 hours waiting for his luggage, then paying a 100-pound taxi to get to her in central London, she knew she’d found a keeper and attributes this trip to when she began to fall in love with him. The English countryside is Blaire's favorite place in the world, and Malibu, California, is Jaron's! When Blaire began visiting Jaron at his home in Malibu, he often took her on walks through the lush meadows of the private property he lived on, and she began to call the meadows her "California Countryside." Believe it or not, California's rolling green hills filled with wildlife and wildflowers can look strikingly similar to the English Countryside during certain times of the year. The Casterton Grange Estate is the perfect country house that allows Blaire and Jaron to enjoy their favorite things with their family and friends: travel, nature, good food, activities, and laughter. It is an effortlessly beautiful Victorian mansion steeped in turbulent history, with modern touches and manicured gardens in the breathtaking countryside, allowing for an intimate and unforgettable experience for all its guests. It has an impressive grandeur, an all-important sense of fun, and many timeless and eccentric features essential to Jaron and Blaire. Once they discovered that both of their ancestors were from the surrounding area, they knew this was the place they wanted to celebrate their love as a homage to all the people who came before them and made their meeting possible.

You can fly to any London airport in the United Kingdom (Heathrow or Gatwick), then take another flight to the Manchester Airport or The Lake District Airport or you can fly directly to the Manchester Airport. Once you arrive at either the Manchester or Lake District airport, it is a 1-hour, 30-minute drive to the little village of Kirkby Lonsdale, which is just a 5-minute drive down the road from where we will be saying "I do." You can take a taxi or rent a car at one of those airports to get you to Kirkby Lonsdale. We will have shuttles taking people from Manchester Airport (only) to Kirkby Lonsdale, so once you purchase your flight information, please let us know when you will land so that we can try to hire a shuttle transfer for you. A shuttle ride from the airport from us is not guaranteed. Alternatively, you can train from London to Kirkby Lonsdale, which is a 9-hour train ride with walking and changes. You can also take a rental car to the village, which is a beautiful 6-hour drive from London through the countryside. On the day of the wedding, we will have shuttles picking up family and friends from specific locations, so please let us know where you will be staying once you decide. Ubers and Taxis will also be available around the village, first come first serve.
