Hotel LeVeque is ~2 blocks from The Citizens Trust, the wedding venue--walking distance. Google Maps says 3-5 minutes. NOTE: The Entrance to Citizens Trust is off of Gay Street between the Wall Street Alley & High Street. The address for Veritas restaurant is more accurate (there will be a big sign outside, though).
We are requesting no children, thank you!
Yes! Please take a lot of photos! Turn off the sound effects, please, and don't use flash during the ceremony. Please take care not to block others with your camera, or get in the way of our photographer. Other than that, we WELCOME you to take many photos and we will set up a dropbox or other system to collect them. THANKS!
Closest is S&P parking, corner of Gay & Front streets. There is currently some construction and entrance is off of Gay Street (Front St entrance is closed, but there is a sign directing you around the corner). Easy to get to venue! There is often street parking, and we recommend you download the PARK CBUS app for parking throughout the city. You will need to have the license number of your car or rental for PARK CBUS street parking. This is the same garage that is for Leveque parking, including Friday event at The Keep. There is a bridge on floor 2 (which is actually third level of garage) into the hotel. There is a small surface lot at 15 W Lynn Street also walking distance. A second garage is located at 84 N Front Street.
Origins Game Fair is an annual tabletop gaming convention hosted by GAMA, held annually in Columbus, OH. With 6,000+ gaming events scheduled throughout the week for attendees, a dynamic vendor hall, special events throughout the weekend and so much more, there’s sure to be something for everyone! (also, if you missed the room block this is likely why rooms are hard to get!)
A favorite regular hangout of ours! The Nancy Exhibit is up now, Ernie Bushmiller's classic is examined thoroughly and expertly. Not to be missed!
Less art and more shopping than it used to be, but a fun walk!
Remember when Gallery Hop was *the* arts thing to do? Now it's Franklinton Fridays, but there is so much to do in this area - and lots of galleries. Gentrification is sadly happening but hasn't quite driven out all the fun stuff!
This park is right behind the house on Croswell Road, and is a GORGEOUS walk. Roses are near peak now and should be gorgeous at the wedding! We probably walk this park 4-5 times per week, and we always comment on how we are so lucky to live so close (Ben's house on Kenworth is just south). Hopefully there may be time to take people through the park and show them the house(s).
The 23rd was the first mobile, multimedia, tactical deception unit in U.S. Army history. This talented team of 1,105 artists, engineers, professional soldiers and draftees were capable of simulating two divisions (approximately 30,000 men) utilizing rubber inflatable tanks, trucks and planes; false radio messages, sound effects; and other disinformation tactics. During World War II, they perfected battlefield deception to deceive German troops and safeguard the lives of thousands of Allied soldiers. The 23rd Headquarters Special Troops included future famed artists Bill Blass, Ellsworth Kelly and Art Kane.
Three words: The Book Loft. You won't be sorry. Oh, and Pistacia Vera (macaron, coffee, pastries) & Katzingers Deli are delish.
