Who’s afraid of a bad bloody mary? There had to be a story. Becca messaged Phil on Bumble while he was at the Morid’’s family house in Tahoma on 7.3.17. There wasn’t a story…have you ever had a bad bloody mary? They had so much in common, the conversation never stopped. 10,000 (literally) text messages and 300+ hundred hours on the phone they met at the Tahoma house on 7.27.17. The connection was instant (Max fell for Becca too). After a few days in Tahoma, their first real date was at Kings Beach, followed by dinner at Lanza’s. Phil drove to Reno and stayed for several days. In the next two and half long-distance years they spent thousands of hours on the phone, texting, and traveled to see each other every weekend. They loved going to the beach, 49er games, exploring Reno-Tahoe and escaping to tropical islands. Phil learned to love Reno. When they decided Reno would be home, Phil moved in the fall of 2019. And then COVID… the lockdown gave them an opportunity to spend all the time together, finally. They bought their first beautiful house together. Max got a little pandemic puppy brother, Wrigley. Phil and Becca got engaged on 4.1.22 where they had their first date in Kings Beach (and then had dinner at Lanza’s). BEST DAY EVER. Now, on their sixth anniversary, it’s time to celebrate their wedding in one of their favorite places.
