On a cold and lonely winter night in the Garden State of New Jersey, as Anwesha was doing her usual scrolling through and “swiping” on dating app profiles, she matched with this really cute guy, Amit. As she read through his profile she noticed that he lived in Monterey, California, “Yeah right! As if I’m gonna be moving to California..” she thought to herself. But despite the distance, something told her to give Amit a chance. After all, you never know who might turn out to be the one! What then started off as a "Hey Anwesha! How’s it going?” message from Amit eventually became a FaceTime. FaceTiming once a week soon turned into meeting in person…OH WAIT, NO IT DIDN’T! Amit had a month long trip to India coming up! To Anwesha's dismay, Amit couldn't meet up with her as soon as she would have liked. But this didn't stop Amit from thinking about Anwesha everyday he was there, even FaceTiming her everyday he woke up and talking for hours. That's the textbook definition of falling in love. When they finally decided to meet halfway in Austin, so many emotions were running through the both of them. "How do I look?” "What if I do something he/she doesn't like?". "What if I'm being cat-fished?”. But none of this mattered when they set eyes on each other for the first time at the hotel lobby in downtown Austin. As the weekend continued, the bond they created and worked so hard to build only grew stronger. And to think that the love of Amit's life almost swiped left on him… Anwesha and Amit are blessed to have found each other and are ecstatic to start this new chapter in their lives. They are eagerly looking forward to celebrating their wedding as they are joined by friends and family from both coasts.
