Weeks before the pandemic hit in 2020, Camilo and Annie met on Hinge. It was their affinity for comedy that connected them initially. Their first date was on leap day in 2020 at Threadbare Ciderhouse during a letter writing event. The letters were to be written to their future selves and not to be opened until 4 years later. They took a chance and wrote about one another in their letters... they still have not been opened since that day. Camilo swept Annie away with his charm and humor. He was a breath of fresh air in this difficult world of dating. They proceeded to go on a couple more dates until the world shut down. Annie and Camilo wanted to pursue this relationship despite the recommendation of social distancing. They committed to getting to know one another and took a bit of time to disclose their relationship to friends and family. The pandemic allowed them to spend one on one time together and truly get to know one another without the distractions of the world. In time, they met each eithers friends and family. In March 2022, Camilo brought Annie to Colombia to meet more of his family and share his roots (and delicious food). They enjoy spending time with one another in Pittsburgh, but enjoy traveling to visit friends, family, and to explore new places. Fast forward to September 9, 2023. Camilo and friends plan a murder mystery party... or was it? Camilo is disclosed as being the murderer and admits to more than just murder. He admits to finding the love of his life and proposing to Annie as he divulges his secret. Annie is completely surprised and elated to be surrounded by friends knowing she is going to spend the rest of her life with her best friend.

Take a ride on the incline up to Mount Washington which has AMAZING views of the city. There are restaurants, shops and bars along Shiloh Street in Mount Washington. There are overlook landings that allow for great photo opportunities. It is just a short walk to the incline from the Sheraton at Station Square.
H2P! This is Annie's Alma Mater! Check out the heart of University of Pittsburgh's campus, the Cathedral of Learning (Cathy). It is a beautiful academic building with unique "Nationality Rooms" that have classrooms designed to reflect cultures from countries from around the world. You can take the elevator all the way to the top and see Pittsburgh from a high vantage point.
This is an area of Pittsburgh that has vibrant markets that extend to the streets. There are many shops that you can spend hours weaving in and out of. This area is a hub for all things Pittsburgh. Walk along Penn Ave and Smithfield Street for many options for dining, coffee, drinks, or fun times.
Also in the Strip District is The Terminal. This is a long strip of restaurants, shops, and entertainment. There is an indoor mini golf experience called Puttshack where Camilo and I have enjoyed a couple of day-dates.
This is a beautiful park in Pittsburgh where the three rivers meet. It has a great view of the sport stadiums and it has a beautiful fountain.
See a Pirates game on 9/14 as they compete against the Royals. This stadium has some of the most beautiful views of the city
The Heinz History Museum is definitely a museum to visit if you want to learn all things Pittsburgh!
