Dan 'Petey' Peterson

Officiant

Petey, Petey, Petey. The mother hen of Andrew's group of friends from UW-River Falls. Somebody had to keep an eye on all those hooligans and Petey was the most mature. Through thick-or-thin, Petey always was there to be the voice a reason, to bounce life choices off of, or just share a beer with. He was also the one to prod Andrew to ask Elsa out when the two first started spending time together. Petey's only REAL fault is that he is a Packers fan but Andrew does not hold that against him too much. When the time came for Andrew and Elsa to decide who they would like to marry them they wanted someone who knew them. Knew their story, their relationship, and their love for one another. Petey fit all the criteria and Andrew and Elsa are blessed to have him a part of their special day.

Taylor Faeber Jr.

Matron of Honor

Taylor has known Elsa since 6th grade when Elsa was “that annoying really good soccer player.” Taylor is technically younger but has always been like a big sister to Elsa. Elsa caught the lucky bouquet at Taylor’s wedding the summer before Andrew proposed. The Faeber wedding provided the insight for the wedding they wanted to have; a laid back northern Minnesota vacation. Taylor has been a big supporter encouraging Elsa to go after what she put her mind to and helping however she could like with this wedding or Elsa’s business. Elsa and Andrew have both enjoyed hanging out more with Taylor and Dom over the last couple years and getting to celebrate their milestones. Elsa has appreciated Taylor's wedding insight and they are excited to have the Faeber Jr. family at their wedding!

Mike Engelhart

Best Man

What can we say about Mike. First off, most of us from UW-River Falls know him as "Skippy" and he was Andrew's roommate their junior year of college. From swing dance to nerding out on history, the two quickly became close. Even though Andrew was a complete jerk-face a few times scaring Mike sometimes at night when his glasses were off and he could not see. From graduate school in Denver to life in Washington D.C., no matter how far Mike moved from Andrew the two always kept in touch. Mostly through Fantasy Football. To ask Mike to be a part of his wedding Andrew hatched a diabolical plan. The two attended GalaxyCon, one of those nerdy things where people dress up, and Andrew had a "special" shirt made and surprised Mike during a photo op with cast members from Doctor Who.

Resa Brockman

Maid of Honor

Elsa and Resa became friends in 5th grade when Elsa’s family switched churches. She basically adopted Resa and has been pushing her buttons ever since. Much of their friendship was Elsa harassing Resa and getting her into shenanigans. Elsa won’t embarrass Resa with ALL the stories she is saving most, but here are a few favorites kicking contests, dragging Resa to school dances, nerdy movie marathons, and goofing off in class. They bonded over a shared love of books, super heroes, and food especially potatoes the best vegetable (fight us). Resa has been the voice of reason in the friendship helping to keep Elsa grounded while Elsa was the dreamer getting Resa out of her comfort zone. Elsa is thankful to have Resa’s level head and reasoning to help reel her in!

Nick Harrison

Groomsman

Nicholas Michael Harrison is Andrew's younger brother. For the last 28.7 years the two brothers fought, made up, loved, and annoyed each other. Regardless of everything, Andrew could not be more proud of the man his brother has become and could not imagine Nick not standing up with him during his special day. Nick chose to study in Liverpool, England to earn his Master's Degree in Biomechanics. Living overseas was a first for the brothers, as even while at college the two saw each other quite frequently. So, doing what all brothers should do, Andrew took full advantage of Nick living in Europe to plan a trip. Him and Elsa packed their bags and were off on Elsa's first transatlantic voyage. Nick played the part of tour guide perfectly. That trip is one Andrew will always remember.

Katie Schwister

Bridesmaid

Katie and Elsa became close friends in 4th grade making Katie the friend who has known Elsa the longest. When Elsa introduced Katie and Resa to each other they hit it off and became a trio that still gets together with other friends for monthly poker and food parties. Katie a fellow extrovert was huge help in dragging Resa to dances and other excursions throughout school. They have shared many memories like the Schwister Harvest parties playing night games, passing notes about crushes, “key gestures”, skiing, bonfires, sleep overs, and being in Future Problem Solvers together. Katie has continued to be a friend Elsa can rely on to help with problems and Elsa has appreciated this as much then as she does now especially with all the wedding planning stuff!

Kevin Draves

Groomsman

Kevin has made two major mistakes in his life - first was becoming friends with Andrew, and second was agreeing to be his roommate. The two became friends while classmates at Lakeville North High School. Through terrible French and writing articles for the school newspaper, they decide the other was not too much of a pain and said, "eh, why not be friends." They camped out in a Minnesota February to get free wings when Buffalo Wild Wings opened in Lakeville and Kevin made more than one pilgrimage to enjoy the nightlife of River Falls with Andrew. You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose, but you should not pick your friend's nose.... but you should pick your friends to be there on your special day.

Kelsey Deeks

Bridesmaid

Elsa and Kelsey became friends their 1st year at UWRF. They bonded over a mutual love of hiking and getting into mischief. They debate who got who into more trouble in college but they both helped. Whether almost getting stopped by the police because Kelsey was crying trying to figure out how to step up a curb or Elsa dragging Kelsey to a St. Patty’s Day party that got busted not 1, not 2, but 3 times. They have been a part of many epic college stories like the lucky red dress, attack of the cliff swallows, drunk swing dance aerials, stealing Andrew’s RA signs, and more than a few tree climbing excursions. Kelsey is the best wing woman you could ever ask for. Elsa is excited to be one of Kelsey's bridesmaid and to have her as a wedding “wing woman” for the last time on her big day!

Jake Bauer

Groomsman

If you think being Andrew's brother is bad, trying being his friend since elementary school. Jake and Andrew's friendship dates all the way back to the summer between 3rd and 4th grade. In no time flat the two, along with their friends Brett and Jon, became a quartet of trouble - playing video games non-stop and watching "Wayne's World" quite literally a thousand times. Elementary school turned to middle, and then in to High School. If they weren't at one's house then they were at the other's. Their post-secondary lives put miles between them as Jake made the error filled decision to attend the University of Kansas while Andrew went to UW-River Falls. The distance was a boundary but one over come with visits to Lawrence and to the Bauer family's new home in Las Vegas.

Karina Clausen

Bridesmaid

Elsa and Karina met the 1st year of college. Elsa’s last year they lived together which is how Elsa met Meghan. That year was awesome with the stress of senior year Elsa could not have had better roommates. Karina was always up for adventures and they often ended up late having philosophical conversations. Some of Elsa’s favorite memories are making the sexy guy wall, the time Elsa and Karina made Andrew the third wheel at the science museum for V-day, and the epic 21st birthday parties they planned. For Elsa's they did winter hiking followed by a mimosa brunch. Karina still keeps life fun going out exploring and having great conversations pondering the world. Elsa loves the fun and philosophical-ness Karina brings as she plans the wedding and is happy to have her there for her big day!

Jason Pohl

Groomsman

Jason and Andrew first became acquainted through Jason's wife Cassie, who was first one of Andrew's high school friends. Bonding over a mutual love of anime, sci-fi, and all things nerdy, they became friends in their own right. Occasionally they would do battle in the realms of nerdom with facts useless to 99% of the human population. They even later moved in together as roommates after Andrew left River Falls. Oh and Cassie was there too. The next couple of years flew by but sadly all things must come to an end and Cassie and Jason got married and then bought a house. Linked through their fandom though the two remain friends and nerd allies.

Meghan Zettell

Bridesmaid

Elsa and Meghan became friends Elsa’s college senior year. Meghan the more mature of the two has been patient when it came to Elsa’s childish antics like messing with her quote board. Meghan was the friend who kept Elsa on task with getting stuff done but was up for fun once it was. A fellow science major she helped Elsa study for class often. She is the Mother Hen of the group helping take care of friends especially when partying. Meghan also helped plan many of the epic 21st birthday parties that year making sure each was tailored to that person. Meghan is the thoughtful friend Elsa goes to when she needs help and for Wine nights for whining. Elsa appreciates Meghan’s honesty and thoughtfulness with planning the wedding and is happy to have her Mama Hen friend there for her big day!

Andrew "Carlton" Stephan

Groomsman

Elsa and Andrew (not the one she is marrying) first met at church and during this time Andrew received his now infamous nickname of "Carlton", due to his similarity in fashion and mannerism with a well known TV character. He became Elsa's best guy friend, a title he can still claim to this day, and is like an adopted brother. They have spent most of their friendship goofing off and teasing each other, and have a lot of nicknames and memories. When Elsa and Andrew (the one she is marrying) first started dating, it was important to her for her two Andrews to meet. She quickly regretted this since they realized they would make great friends. Andrew and Andrew embraced their shared love of nerdy things and similar sense of humor. It also helps that they are both devilishly handsome.
