Update: as of now the wedding can go on with 25% of the venue occupancy for the indoor reception space we are working with the resort to see what this means and what our options are. As of now it looks like we will be adding an outdoor reception space so everyone staying at the resort can enjoy the reception and modified ceremony. Keep your fingers crossed that the numbers will be able to safely increase by the time of the wedding we will keep you posted on what we find out from the resort. We know things have been uncertain recently with the spread of COVID-19. Our thoughts and prayers to all our friends and family who have been impacted. As of now we are continuing as planned with our wedding. We are in contact with the resort and our vendors to see what we can do. If we are restricted in numbers our first plan is to try and postpone the wedding a few weeks. If that is not possible, we will then reach out with our new plan.
We have spoken with the resort the wedding will be at. With everything going on it is important that we get them as accurate a number of how many cabins we will need. If you are staying at the resort we can guarantee as of now your ability to attend the modified ceremony and reception. You don't have to stay in a cabin if you don't want to and still attend. What we are trying to politely say is as of now we are limited to roughly 50 people being in the indoor reception space and we are working on creating an outdoor reception space. This is so people can flow between the two and as of now this works with only 50 to 80 additional people. Which is about the number of people originally invited to stay in the cabins. We love you all but we may still have to cut the guest list. Just keep hoping and praying with us that things get better by the fall! If you received a slip in your invitation asking about your lodging preferences, please reach out to myself or Andrew as soon as you can!
You would have received a slip of paper about the cabins in your wedding invite if you and your family are being offered a cabin! There is a limited number of spots and we were offered a discount for doing the initial booking all together in one deposit. So unfortunately we have to prioritize immediate family, wedding party, and family from out of state first and appreciate your understanding and patience with this. We will let you know as soon as possible!
We have a rough list right now of what families and friends are in what cabins based on number of people and accessibility needs. You will be staying with family or friends that you know so your aunts and cousins and not people from the other side you have met once. It is going to be a Minnesota wedding vacation and we hope you have fun staying with family and friends for our wedding! There is a fire code on the cabins so we are handling organizing lodging and will let you know what cabin you are in and with whom. If you have any concerns with your cabin assignment please feel free to reach out to us.
If you would not like to stay in a cabin please just let us know and we will take your name off the list. Do not feel like you have to stay at the resort if you don’t want to. The nice thing about this area is there are a lot of lodging options like other resorts, hotels, and airbnbs. We also won’t be out of any money because of the deal we have with the resort we just need to let them know which cabins we will be using if not all by a certain time.
As part of the deal we got we paid the deposit for Friday and Saturday night so basically one “free” night for you. This means that everyone staying in the cabin is responsible for the rest that is due and any additional people past 2 people per a cabin winter 2020 rate. So if a cabin has 6 people, 4 people are considered "pluses" and it will cost the cabin an additional $15 per a person per a night more for those 4. If you want to learn more about their rates check out their website. (https://www.campfirebayresort.com/accommodations/rates/). Each cabin comes to about the cost of a hotel room for one night and that cost is left to be split by the people staying in it however they want and you pay the resort directly. We will be letting the resort owners know who is staying where to help the process go smoothly. We also will be letting people know who is in their cabin group as we fill up cabins and what cabin your group is in.
We are! Zola is being rude and not linking to our REI registry soooo... here is the link to the complete list! https://www.myregistry.com/wedding-registry/elsa-litecky-and-andrew-harrison-lakeville-mn/2308204/giftlist We also originally put on our registry if you would like to give a gift of money it is appreciated as it is going into our honeymoon/house fund. But it seems Zola made that note disappear as well too.... XP now you know!

For the most part it is normal fall weather, warm days around 50-60’ F and cools nights into the high 30s. However as it is central Minnesota and the end of September there can be quite a range in temperature and weather with some days feeling hot in the 70s and other days getting freezing rain and early snow flurries in the high 20s to low 30s during the day. We just won’t know until closer to the date so make sure to check the weather before you pack and come to the resort. Overall bring different layers easy to mix and match so you can adjust to the weather.
