You gotta fly to Querétaro International Airport. It is sooo common to fly to Santiago de Querétaro to go to San Miguel, so there's always transportation at the airport ready to take you to San Miguel de Allende (around September 2025, we will send some private transportation companies info to those who already RSVPd, in case you are feeling bougie and want to do that) Another option is, if you fly to Mexico City, and want to do a little roadtrip: rent a car, San Miguel is 4ish hours away. Or... Fly to Mexico City and then fly to Querétaro, and do the shuttles, buses, rent cars, etc. Lo más sencillo es volar al Aeropuerto Internacional de Querétaro. Hay un montón de camionetas, "shuttles", autobuses y transportes privados que llevan a gente a San Miguel desde el aeropuerto. Allá por Septiembre 2025 vamos a mandar información de transportes privados a los que ya confirmaron, en caso de que quieran llegar freseando a SMA. Otra opción es rentar carro ahí en el aeropuerto, si así lo deseas. O.... en caso de volar a la CDMX, puedes rentar un carro y hacer un viajecillo en carretera de unas 4 horas aprox.

There are dozens of cute boutique hotels and that's kind of the classic thing to do, but if you want to stay in an AirBnb as a group, go for it. There's a lot of amazing ones and at good prices. Just make sure they are in the downtown area. Feel free to text Ana if you have any questions on your AirBnb location. Los hoteles boutique son muy lindos en San Miguel, un clásico. Aunque si prefieres quedarte en un AirBnb, adelante, hay muchos súper bonitos, y siempre son más baratos que un hotel si es que vas en grupo. Si nunca has ido a SMA, mándale un mensaje a Ana Elena y ella te puede sugerir ciertas áreas.

Do I need to rent a car to explore the city? - Necesito carro para pasearme en SMA?

Not really. San Miguel is small and very walkable (bring comfy shoes, btw), but if you stay more than a week, maybe consider renting a car to explore the surroundings (Querétaro is a gorgeous city, btw). Even if you want to visit vineyards or play golf, there's always Ubers/taxis or hotel shuttles that will take you there and bring you back. As always, don't drink and drive. No necesariamente. San Miguel es pequeño y caminable (tráete unos tenis cómodos, por cierto), pero si te quedas más de una semana, a lo mejor rentar un carro no es mala idea para pasear fuera de la ciudad. Si deseas visitar uno de los viñedos o jugar golf, siempre hay Ubers, taxis, o transportes de hotel que te pueden llevar y traer. Como siempre, no manejes si vas a pistear.
