Dustin and I met in the new age of dating, online. He was persistent in wanting to meet me. A few weeks past and we made plans. Friday 10/30 7:00 came and I was ready, he didn’t reply or open my messages. I was feeling very frustrated that he had stood me up! He finally messaged me at 8:30 stating that he over slept from his nap as he worked third shift. I, still very upset, told him that he better give me eight great reasons why I should give him another chance to take me out. He took some time, apparently trying to figure out how I came up with eight and to try to get all. In his reply, he did not have eight, but the reasons gave me were enough to agree to a second first date. He convinced me that the next day, 10/31, would be good. As I did not have plans we met up at Buffalo Wild Wings for dinner then to bowling. After losing gracefully to him, we sat at the bar and talked. We connected more and found that we had a lot more in common. We met up a few more times that week for dinner and a lunch. I eventually made a trip to his house to meet his dogs, Kelli and Bambi. I am still not sure who fell harder for me first, him or Bambi. The wise advise of ‘find someone that you can laugh with daily, and you will be happy’ is truly the base of our relationship. We have both never found someone that we love more and can make us laugh as much as we both do. I keep making him laugh with my dorky comments and dance moves daily. And he manages to always have some witty comeback that leaves me in stitches.
