Bride
Amelia met Kurt at Oregon State as all college kids do through Tinder. After an amazing first date getting frozen yogurt and talking about dogs they kept in touch after her summer in Ecuador. Amelia loves to travel and enjoy food from all around the world. You can always find her working on a new craft at home or prepping tomorrows project for the preschoolers at MAC. She also loves to cook and will vehemently disagree if you say it's too hot out for soup. Amelia is an incredibly supportive friend and partner who will always be there to help in any situation.
Groom
Kurt is a Virgo, dog dad, car guy, and as some might say, a “huge nerd”. He loves spicy food (especially red curry and Korean fried chicken), and his favorite color is purple. He can often be found playing World of Warcraft or other games on his PC, hanging out with Amelia, or indulging his Starbucks addiction. Kurt is the best listener and is always there for friends and family when they need him.
Maid of Honor
Megan is not only Amelia’s mother, but one of her closest friends. Amelia is following in her footsteps as a preschool teacher. You’ve probably seen Megan’s paper crafting handiwork - she’s making all the save-the-dates and invites for the wedding! She is a skilled watercolor artist and avid reader. Amelia and Megan enjoy playing bingo together at the Canby American Legion on Thursdays.
Bridesmaid
Paige and Amelia met in Ms. Quist’s kindergarten class at Boekman Creek Elementary. They later participated in musicals together at Wilsonville High School (with Paige onstage and Amelia behind the scenes) and spent many a late night at Shari’s. They’ve come up with countless business ideas, none of which have yet to come to fruition, but if you’re looking to invest in our genius, let us know…
Bridesmaid
Carly met Amelia at an ATO house dance, on her second date with Kurt! Carly has known Kurt longer than Amelia has - her husband Josh went to high school with Kurt and was his roommate in college. Carly is the mother of sassy flower girl Kiana. Carly enjoys trips to Sephora, cuddling with her pets and kiddo, and acting like a lobster at a Mexican restaurant.
Bridesmaid
Amelia met Dani through Carly (her “wife”) and they bonded over drinks every Tuesday at American Dream Pizza in Corvallis for most of their senior year of college. Their picture is on the wall there! Dani loves pasta, hedgehogs, baseball, and her cat Phil. If there was an award for sending the most funny videos in the group chat, Dani would win it!
Bridesmaid
Jen (aka Lauren) has known Amelia since 5th grade. They spent years ding-dong-ditching their classmates, making prank calls, and inventing their own language. Now they prefer playing Jackbox games online, but they’ll never forget their weirdo roots. Amelia and Kurt were in Jen’s wedding this March as the ring bearer and flower girl!
Bridesmaid
Amelia met Tiffany in 2022, though they have just recently been getting to know each other and found they have more in common than they thought! They enjoy playing board games together, and they’ve shared many laughs over Pictionary and a few margaritas. Tiffany is a nail art wizard who loves naps and tattoos.
Best Man
Spencer met Kurt while both were in diapers nearly 26 years ago and have been inseparable ever since. From flying down Laburnum on a skateboard to backpacking Europe they have been through everything. After a successful D1 track career Spencer now coaches at Lakeridge to give the next generation a leg up on their future.
Groomsman
One of three groomsmen to meet at the legendary Palisades Elementary. Patrick and Kurt have been causing shenanigans for years. While at Oregon State together they preferred late night Qdoba and debating on if anyone could ever beat Lewis Hamilton. Today Patrick is helping secure people a better future by managing their finances.
Groomsman
The next groomsman to meet at Palisades was Duvall. They have been close since Kindergarten bonding over which character was best in 007 Nightfire. Although joining the dark side and attending the University of Oregon they continued their friendship visiting when possible and always through Siege with the crew. Duvall is an amazing writer who will soon be the next Spielberg.
Groomsman
Peter, the last of the Palisades crew also met Kurt in kindergarten but grew closer after a season of little league soccer. After many sleepovers and sinking thousands of hours into Runescape and World of Warcraft they are still addicted to this day. Peter is now a journeyman electrician who can fix anything and the friendliest guy you will ever meet.
Groomsman
Kurt met Austin during his freshman year of college at Oregon State when joining ATO. Opposite of Patrick they spent late nights at the library studying while also enjoying a few weekends out. He's a dad to two surprisingly well behaved Australian Shepards (Chip and Bane) as well as an adorable Corgi (Azula). After graduating Austin helped Kurt land a career in the construction industry where they remain to this day.
Groomsman
Dmitriy and Kurt met pledging ATO back in 2013. After a crazy fall term exploring all of what Oregon State had to offer they grew closer through Greek life, Starcraft, and long walks on the beach. Today Dmitriy lives in San Jose with his fiance Averyl and works as an engineer for 3dmed.
Flower Girl
If we know your significant other, or if you’re married, chances are they’re already on our guest list. If not, we look forward to meeting them after the wedding! Please contact one of us directly if you have any issues with RSVPing for you and your plus one through our Zola website.
We ask that you please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. Our lovely photographer, Naomi, has got us covered! After the ceremony, you’re welcome (and encouraged) to take as many photos as you like. As for social media, we do not care! Post away!
Street parking in the neighborhood is available but limited, so if you are able to carpool we recommend doing so. The earlier you arrive, the less distance you’ll have to hike!
Yes, we will have a selection of breakfast foods and cupcakes, including vegan and gluten-free options. If you have other dietary restrictions please let us know!
We recommend dressy-casual attire. It’s a party, so don’t be afraid to wear a bold pattern or color! Please keep in mind there will be mixed terrain including grass, gravel and cement, so super-high heels are not recommended.
